This was our second cruise. First one was 12 years ago. Here we felt like cattle. Standing in lots of lines and waited alit to get into restaurants shows etc. there was literally no customer service or care on the ship except at the specialty restaurants. We saw our steward three times. First was on the third day. We did not get our luggage the first day until after dinner the first evening which took 2 and 1/2 hours. If we cruise again it will probably not be with Norwegian
Embarkation

Getting on to the boat was rather painless but once on the boat there was no one to direct us where to go. Our rooms were not ready and we were not allowed to our rooms. Never announced that they were ready so we eventually went there on our own
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Specialty restaurants were outstanding. The rest were mediocre. The service at the specialty restaurants was very good. At the buffet it was okay. But at the other sit down restaurants it was horrible

Service and Staff

Service and staff was terrible. Most did not understand English. The few that did weee in the more responsible positions. Waiters disappeared. They brought wrong drinks. Ask some how to get somewhere and they would just point.
Ship Quality

Ship is so large it is hard to get around. Basically clean though did encounter a restroom that needed attention. Also someone got sick early on in our hallway and staff was never able to get the horrible smell out of the area
Cabin / Stateroom

Clean. Bed was ok. Shower and toilet fine. Did take time figure out shower controls. Plaenty of storage b
Very nice. Again we booked a tour guide outside of the cruise line. We toured chocolate factory. Mayan ruins, tequila distillery and went to local taco restsurant.
Getting your luggage after dinner is not an odd thing. They unload a couple of thousands of luggages. If you get your luggage early in the afternoon, good for you. But on every big ship, such as the Epic, the cruise line tells their passengers that they might get their luggages later in the evening. That’s why the first night is casual wear for dinner. And that’s also why they tell you to bring a carry on with all your first day essentials. And that’s is true for every cruise line that as big ships. Information easy to find on their websites. And you’re saying that you only saw your room stewart 3 times during the week. Was your stateroom dirty? Were you missing something in your cabin? If not why complain about it. If it bothered you that much, next time, go express your dissatisfaction to the hotel manager. And if you wanna have dinner within a certain time frame, next time, tell your waiter or just go to the buffet.
These reviews with the waiting in line and on food for 2 1/2 hours in MHO are over exaggerated. I’ve never waited on any ship that long. Most meals in the MDR’s have been outstanding unless it was something I wanted to try and didn’t like.
Go to Disney World and see if you don’t stand in line, they are everywhere.
Maybe you should try another smaller ship or another line
