Epic march 8 to 11 2017

Epic was a great ship.  It was fast boarding in Port Canaveral.  We were in line probably less than 10 minutes. The ship was very clean.  The staff were excellent in all areas.  My only problem was the wait staff in Moderno, La Cucina and Cagney's.  We dined in all three and the service was extremely slow.  In all 3 restaurants, our dinner service from the time we sat down to the time we got up was approx. 2 to 2.5 hours.  I think this is extremely slow for dinner service.

The Epic Beatles show  was fabulous.  They were excellent musicians, and all on point.   The dueling piano's were a little vulgar at times, but good.

All in all, I would rate the ship 4 to 4.25 stars.  I have been on 2 other Norwegian ships, the latest was the getaway 2 years ago.

It seems like Norwegian has begun to nickel and dime you to death.  They charge a beverage package and dining package service fee when you book, then charge you again on the ship for the service.   I do not recall 2 years ago being charged on my cruise bill a charge for every drink that I purchased.  On the Epic cruise, I was charged a small amount for a tip, which equaled approx. 50 cents per drink.  When I booked the cruise, I was charged 42.66 beverage service charge.  This is like double dipping.

I have booked another cruise line with the beverage package in July 2017 and I was not charged the beverage service charge on that cruise.  Lets see if they charge me a tipping fee per drink.
