Review summary

The Epic was the newest ship we have been on & it was beautiful.

The staff & food was the poorest. In talking with the other guests we pretty much all agree. Most of the food was cold. I actually had a waiter tell me if we would have mentioned it to him he would have flagged us in the computer that we like our food hot & that would help. Not impressed.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food was not good and most of the time served cold. We ate in the main dining room & pay restaurants and both were not good. The main dining room had the same choices for meals several days. The main dining room (taste) had 3 or 4 choices that cost $25 - $30. With our package we received 3 free meals in pay restaurants. By the 2nd day all the reservations for the rest of the cruise were booked & we couldn't get in. Not impressed.

Service and Staff

Very disappointed. The wait staff was very rude & slow. My wife ordered orange juice at the beginning of breakfast at the main dining room & didn't get it until she was done with her meal. I caught my foot & fell one morning. There were 2 staff that witnessed my fall & didn't check on my at all. I had several other guests check on me & help me up.

Sorry your cruise did not go well.  IMHO on NCL you have to eat at a specialty restaurant to get a good meal.  I was surprised to have gotten better food on Carnivals MDR,  but that just my opinion.
