Review summary

We have been on several Norwegian cruise ships, this is one of the best. Our balcony cabin was great seemed a little small for 4 people but it worked well, not problem with the bath facilities loved the concept of the shower being separate. The layout of the ship was well suited for getting from the forward theater to the adult pool deck area. Dining was fabulous even in the main dining room, crew were on top of the orders, the only problem we found was the casino was one deck up from the dining room and the smoke and noise got a little heavy. Loved the Jazz club spent almost every night enjoying the music and atmosphere. Great shows Blue Man group were terrific, as well as, the the Circus dinner show. Only problem we had onboard was the area by the water-slides, decks were always wet and slippery, there were a couple of spots were you could bump your head if not careful. So for a new vessel I found it well worth the trip.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Excellent food - large choice of eating places.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pool area was a little tight and always active. Adult pool area was great, seeing the ship was still feeling it growing pains I expect the on board activities will get better.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Jazz Club, Comedy Club really grat, Sows were also great loved the Blueman group. Lounges were nice easy to get a great seat and have a drink or two.

Children's Programs

Did not use this one.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
I believe Norwegian picked the best crew members from all thier ships to man the Epic.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
New and Clean - still being put together as we did the crossing

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Balcony cabin great for two or three people not four. Bathroom setup was great, liked the idea of a seperate bath from the sinks (sinks in cabin slightly small)

Ports of call

Southampton (London), England
