Nice but just felt 4 or 5 days was enough. The casino is a rip off making all games odd a lot better for the house. 8 deck blackjack. Crazy. 6/5 pay on blackjacks on tables under 50& minimums. Roulettes with zero and double zero etc. Did not hear of anyone winning. Tournaments that generate a lot of money for the casino due to the hi leaves of intake and low winning amount for one winner. Ship has one great show and good food and drinks. Careful. Some drinks are premixed and will not make you drunk as they do not have much in em. Try the Lemon Drop drink.
Embarkation

Can’t blame the cruise line. The port was closed due to a storm. Took almost 2 hrs to get from Miami airport to port in Lyft.
The port had the traffic zig zag. Headed to port at 12:45pm. Was rough for everyone getting off and on. Think everyone got off ship by 2:30pm. Allowing our start alto board at 3:30’ish. People still getting till around 7pm.
It was nuts. Take a number and wait to check in. And then wait to get on.

I have to say I was real happy with the food. I was very disappointed on the Wonder of the sea - rcl ship. The food was so much better in the main dining rooms over Royal.
And the buffet was great. No food or drink complaints. Was very pleased.
Onboard Activities

A bit disappointed. Not much. A bunch that repeated. This cruise lacks activities. Only so much karaoke, trivia and couples game shows I can handle. And many cost money. Bingo, casino tournaments etc.

Entertainment

One comedian was great. But if you find him in you tube it’s the same material from 7 years ago… so do not spoil it and look him up. Other one was just ok. Kids / family comedy shows were awful. They need to do comedy for the kids so they understand /follow the comedy. Not saying things over their heads.
This cruise does have the best show on the water. Men of Choir. do not miss it. And be ready to go on stage before the show starts to get a beer from the bartender.
Other shows leave me looking at my watch. Juggler guy. Yuk. Had to do some talking stories to make the show last some time.

9800. Would recommend getting a room on the 10th floor. As some 9th floor you hear the music till midnight from the party room under you. I heard in my room.. so if noise sensitive look at where you room is. Take note what is above you and under you.
Ship tip
Sign up for specialty restaurants 45 days before boarding. And if so get the 2 or 4 day plan it’s cheaper. Get the Ncl app. And use tough screen TVs near elevators or the app.
Like the port just felt my tour I signed up for was too expensive for what it was
Kayaking. Hiking and snorkeling. $189 is a bit much in st Thomas. About 3 hrs.
And no singles kayaks. Had to double up.
What a waste. Left room at 12 noon to find everyone getting back on board. Figured I would go for a walk at port. Nope. Ship leaving time was 12:30pm. I have never seen a leaving time so early before. And I have sailed a lot.
The lines weee long and they keep calling groups when they are long. Why? Why not let them die down a little first. I waiting 35-40 mins in line to ramp to exit ship. Truly too long.
