never stayed in an aft balcony but we always get the spa balcony and love it. if you like the thermal suite, it is cheaper to get the spa balcony than a regular balcony and spa pass. happy wife, happy life.... and cruise!

Yes I have stayed on an aft balcony room on ncl getaway on the 13 deck and no problem with engine noise or anything and yes larger balconies and sunrise and sunsets and moon rises were fantastic

never had an aft cabin but I've heard that the smoke stacks may get on the balcony. But I always get a spa balcony and love it, plus it is cheaper than getting a balcony and buying the thermal suite pass, it is closer and you can just walk to the thermal suite in your robe!

I've stayed in an aft balcony on a higher floor and didn't feel the engine. I enjoyed it because the balcony was bigger. This was on the ncl escape

You will be fine. No difference other than you hear the sound of the Wake versus the sound of the Waves. Just came back from an Aft Balcony cabin on Sky Princess. We liked the view!

We have an aft balcony booked on the escape sailing January 28 to February 4 and from everything I’ve heard the balcony is bigger. You don’t hear any noise you don’t feel any rumbling unless you’re going through a storm and it’s gotta be a pretty bad storm. I think if anyone gets in at balcony, you have scored on an amazing room not to mention an extremely amazing view.

if you look at the side profile of the ship, the engines/generators are directly below the exhaust stacks. Aside from prop wash, noise should be negligible.

May not be quite the same but I was in a carrier in the Navy and my berthing was towards the back. Any feel you get from the engines is a gentle vibration that rocks you to sleep. We were also much closer to the ship's screws than you will be on any cruise ship

The views from an aft balcony are worth some of the inconveniences
