Review summary
The ship was a fairly small "big" ship. It seemed to have fewer activities on board than most other ships we've been on. The showroom was fairly small, as were both main dining rooms. Being an older ship, the only multi-deck room was the showroom and it had several support poles in the seating area. There was no balcony. The rooms, however, were bigger than most and very comfortable. The biggest problem we had was the "Freestyle cruising". Unlike cruises with assigned dinner times, NCL has a come when you want policy. Unfortunately, it seems as if everyone on the ship wants to eat at 7:00 PM. If you showed up then without a reservation, the wait for a table could be 45 to 60 minutes. By then, you have probably missed a chance to get a seat at the late show because they have been taken by all those who ate before you did. To do it all, you either have to go to the 6:30 show and eat late or make reservations for 6:30 or 7:00 for the entire week when you first get on the ship. This seems to go against the "Freestyle, eat when you want" philosophy.Ports of call
Pros: The friendliness and helpfulness of all the staff
Cons: As it turns out, we're not big fans of NCL Freestyle cruising
