I have never been on a Carnival cruise but I think this trip may have been the closest to it. With an open bar and a lot of college kids it was essentially Spring Break on the high seas. It was common to see toilets near the pool I flushed and filled with vomit. People drank from morning until night. There was almost a fist fight before a comedy show in the packed theater. Although I liked that people on the ship were friendly, happy and fun-loving it was too much of a frat party for my liking. If I wanted a drunk fest I would have booked a 3 day cruise with Carnival.
Embarkation

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
2 out of 5
The food in the main restaurants was mediocre. The Lido was all self-serve buffet, which seems insane in a post-COVID world. The specialty restaurants were fantastic though!
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
The activities were the old standbys of Bingo and other gambling. The games were geared to a young adult crowd of Spring Breakers.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The aerialists were the best I’ve ever seen!
Service and Staff
2 out of 5
There was not enough staff for the number of people on board, and none of them made an effort to connect with us.
Ship Quality
2 out of 5
The layout was not conducive to finding quiet places away. There was only one pool in the center of the ship and was the only place to eat outside so it was always packed.
Cabin / Stateroom
3 out of 5
The cabin was smaller than expected but otherwise fine,
Ship tip
Get a balcony room so you have some quiet time outside.
Been there, done that. My birthday is in March so for a big birthday 5 years ago, we went on NCL Sky in March, not thinking about spring break. On Sky, alcohol is included, it's not part of free at sea. Never again.
Dear AuntPinkie --
This is why I tell all, if you are a senior, book anything longer than 7 days to avoid the 'party' time. In the past 3 months we did a ten day and eleven day from Tampa on Celebrity. Best $$$ spent to date.
