I got engaged during my trip but otherwise meh. I won the “free” bingo cruise raffle at the end. I was REALLY excited until I got home and went to book my “free” cruise. It’s extremely conditional. Only good for up to a 5 day cruise, only good for Bahamas or Caribbean, half the year of black out dates, can’t use cruise next certificates, excludes any packages, gratuities or taxes. Soooooo, since I live in ny and can’t use it for Bermuda, it would essentially cost me at least 2-3k for a “free” 5 day cruise. Ladies and gents, don’t get yourself excited over the free cruise raffle because it will cost you a MINIMUM of at least $700. Do better NCL
Embarkation

Wasn’t the worst. First time at Tampa port. Luckily due to a knee injury I was able to scoot past most otherwise it looked like a sh*t show
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
Food and drink was great! Not quite 5 stars but really good
Onboard Activities
2 out of 5
Disappointed that they put all the lounge chairs away by 9:30pm nightly. Wanted to lay on the deck to look at stars late but couldn’t.
Entertainment
1 out of 5
Worst entertainment on NCL yet. Went to 2 shows only. Comedian was absolutely hilarious but the other performers were more like try outs for karaoke night. I always loved NCL performances but this ship had the worst, by far!
Service and Staff
4 out of 5
Room steward who?? I never even knew who she was until the last day. The only reason I knew who she was because I had to find her for a specific reason otherwise I would’ve never met her! Worst experience with a room steward on NCL yet. Otherwise wait staff was absolutely AMAZING!!
Ship Quality
1 out of 5
This ship from NCL was my absolute worst ship experience. The ship is bland, windows are really dingy (so much, you can’t really get a clear view out of most) layout makes absolutely no sense. The staff did well at keeping the inside clean.
Cabin / Stateroom
2 out of 5
Cabin was small which was expected from an inside room. Bed was really uncomfortable and hard. The middle zipper function was broke so the bed would split in the middle of the night
Appreciate your detailed feedback. I won our first cruise from a local grocery store. All we paid was port fees &taxes and standard gratuities. However, my husband often comments that cruise has cost us a lot, our next cruise will be number 48. Sorry your win wasn’t all you thought. CONGRATULATIONS on your engagement!
Cruising is definitely not what it was previously. Nothing is ever truly free, especially on NCL. Just look at the complaints about the gratuity charges on the “free” drink package they offer with the “Free at Sea” promotion.
