An adult friendly ship, few children, with enough space to spread out. A 2 to 1 passenger to crew ratio was also helpful. The spa, while absurdly expensive, is worth a trip on one of their many "specials" days... Meaning, don't book all you appts on day 1....youll save a few hundred if you're flexible.
And bring your own ibuprofen, zpack or other antibiotic, cough expectorant, etc... A med pack will also save you a great deal if you get sick...
Embarkation
4 out of 5
A bit confusing at first but as priority passengers settled down.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
We like Norwegian because they offer many free options for dining in addition to specialty up price options - - - Without reservations! Which for us, early diners, was perfect.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
Minimal activities for adventure, 1 pool, 1 hot tub, no rock climbing, slides, etc... But that also means fewer children! A quieter ship but has all the bars and trivia and other games you could want.
Entertainment
3 out of 5
Ok, smaller ship, not such a great lineup, but better than nothing and short enough to enjoy without wondering how you can escape your middle row seat!
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
By far, best butler and steward service ever. Never saw our concierge, but no problem, we lived our other two service attendants.
Ship Quality
4 out of 5
I would love to be able to give this a 5. But while recently refurbished, rooms and common areas are great, they did not replace windows with broken seals. If you're in a window only room, beware, you may not be able to see anything clearly. Shame really, our entire window wall was like this.
Cabin / Stateroom
4 out of 5
I would love to be able to give this a 5. But while recently refurbished and room was great, they did not replace windows with broken seals. If you're in this cabin, beware, no balcony but is wall to wall windows... Unfortunately you may not be able to see anything clearly. Shame really, our entire wall of windows was like this.
Ship tip
If you must eat between 7 and 830p, make your meal reservations as soon as you arrive.
I'd give a five but as first time priority, we weren't given very good instructions, when we finally found a crew member to help (they are sparse because they are more interested now in the next cruise guests, we were able to disembark without interruption.
