The staff on the Dawn make up for the few foibles on board. We felt so well taken care of by staff all over the ship. I cannot wait to return and hope I can cruise to Bermuda on the Dawn again.

Drink service was great everywhere, there are plenty of servers. Espresso martinis at Gatsby's are fabulous, mojitos in the casino are delicious and go great with gambling and on a future cruise, I would visit the bar inside Los Lobos just to drink Mexican Old Fashions and Orange Margaritas. In case you didn't know, if you order a bottle of wine in any restaurant, the server can put a tag on it if you do not finish it, and send it to a central holding area. Any server in any restaurant can retrieve the bottle for you at another meal, if you provide your copy of the tag to them. We enjoyed Le Bistro and Los Lobos (a void the out of a box Mexican rice though! Unless you like that!) We did not like the Venetian, we had one dinner there and did not return. The service was great, the coconut lime souffle would've been worth a return trip for but not the lasagna. I like frozen lasagna, if they served me that I would've loved it! Whatever recipe for sauce and lasagna they are using is not edible. The buffet had very good choices at all meals and the staff there treated us so very well.

Negative - there is never any need anywhere in the world to play techno at the pool at 10 am, unless you are using meth or MDMA at 10 in the morning. Are you listening NCL Dawn?

We enjoyed the music very much. Manila Soul and Jamroc both are so talented. Both piano players/ vocalists at Gatsby's were fantastic.

The staff exceed expectations. My mom used a wheelchair and a cane. The staff were so helpful to us as we navigated the ship and numerous buffet visits.

Five stars for cleanliness. Design, not so much. The handicapped seating in the theater is a nightmare - on the main level. Staff and guests use the handicapped row to get from one end of the theater to the other, this is horrible. People were running back and forth and stepping on our feet and giving my mom anxiety. This is a most awful design. There should be ushers preventing people from running through this row.
Cabin / Stateroom

Ship tip
If you are going for late night dining at O'Sheehans, bring your own beverage. I learned to grab a drink from the bar in the casino on my way out. When the bar at O's closes (2 am?) there is only water available to accompany your late night snack. There is no soda, juice, iced tea. Just water.
Do not shop at the big drugstore for souvenirs. It is overpriced and none of it is from Bermuda. In the mall there are many, many reasonably priced local shops. Carol Holding was our favorite. Jewelry, jams, prints and rum cake, very nice staff and free prints if you spend $100. Do not buy candles unless you are looki.g for a hassle. They will be confiscated when you reboard and returned to you, if you remember to ask for them, as you disembark.
