We had some great moments but overall I would not go back on another cruise with Norwegian. We are experienced cruisers and have gone on several different lines. If this was your first cruise you may be ok with it. I was in a mini suite and had to pay for room service and my internet service never worked and guest services could only hand me instructions on how to log on. I took my phone and tablet to them and no one would even try to help me to connect. Not to say they do not have some great people onboard but they are far and few between. Not what you expect to find when you spend this much money.
Embarkation

We stood in line outside of the building for over an hour. Once we made it into the terminal there was no air conditioning as the building was under construction. Thankfully it is spring and the temperature was only in the low 80's this day. Even the people working in the terminal were complaining about the conditions.

Food and Dining

I found hair in my food twice in the Asian restaurant. The food was very greasy in the buffet. We did enjoy the food we ordered from room service. They were fast and the food was fresh and you could ask to adjust the food slightly. Overall the bar staff was rude and seemed overworked. Gatsby Bar was the shining star and we did enjoy the bar and wait staff here. They had good entertainment and this was a nice spot to relax.
Onboard Activities

We played Bingo and Deal or No Deal which were fun. Saw a couple of shows that were very will done.

Service and Staff

Our room steward was fabulous. Anything we asked for he found for us.
Ship Quality

The ship is very clean and the layout is a little strange. Once you figure out the ship it's fine.
We did an all inclusive Resort day at Melia Resort. The resort was great. We stayed in the adult area of the pool as the beach was close due to high surf. They have a ton of great stuff for kids of all ages. They had a wonderful fresh buffet for lunch that offered salmon and steaks grilled to order along with all kinds of other dishes. You do need to take a cab to get there and back but it only cost us $10.00 for a couple each way.
We have been here several times before. It is a fun place to get off the ship and do some shopping or grab lunch. It also offers nice pools and an overhead walkway that the kids enjoy.
We did the Tabayana beach day and snorkel. Transportation was provided but the ride is a bit stressful but it's worth it. Beautiful fun day. They provide security so you can comfortably swim or snorkel. Vendors do walk the beach but are not allowed to come up to the beach chairs. If you see an item you want you go to the vendor. Well worth the money.
We took our own bags off so we could get off early. Took a long time and we were let off in small groups of 25 - 30 at a time. The terminal was again under construction. Hopefully this is completed before summer temperature are hotter.
Glad to hear the positive comments, we're cruising on the Dawn in June. We've done other cruises, but all with NCL. We've been very happy so far. Same as whorv67 for us. No internet package!! Load up the Kindles before we sail and power down the phones! π’πΉππ΄
I always thought everyone has to pay the delivery charge for room service. We never get the internet package, itβs time to unplug on a cruise πππ
A mini-suite is nothing but a slightly larger balcony room. That is why you had to pay for room service like everyone else on the ship not truly in a suite.
