Not very well organized. Crowded and long lines.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The specialty restaurants and the buffet was great. Never took advantage of the main dining rooms All the staff including the bar staff at O'Sheehan"s were the greatest.

Cagney's Steakhouse

5 out of 5

The food and service was above and beyond all. Our hostess was the best and took great care to see that we were pleased. We had a party of 10 so she arranged that we could all dine together. Excellent!!!!

Glad you had a great time and thanks for posting the review. We're considering a cruise on the Dawn for March 2019. It would be a first with NCL and I've started doing some research. With the freestyle cruising and no dining reservations, did you find you had to wait to be seated?

We have been on a number of NCL cruises and the they all have more than one MDR. The Dawn has 2 as do most of the smaller ships. The new larger ones have 3. Usually one astern on deck 6 and the other(s) usually amid ship also on 6. We prefer the mid ship ones. We have used the MDR many times and the longest we have ever had to wait was about 15 minutes and that was at peek dinner time. There is always a bar close by and they give you a pager to let you know when the table is ready.
