Review summary

We enjoyed the size of the Dawn and the fact that we didn't have to fight any crowds We were really disappointed with the food. The staff was attentive and friendly. The food is something that can be tweaked and I and hoping they do so I would like to revisit the Dawn again.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Our first time out of Boston. We went by bus. The traffic was horrible at the port. Three large ships were embarking that day and it seemed all the people were being funneled through one terminal. We we told after boarding Boston is not normally like that, so we will give them the benefit of the doubt.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

2 out of 5
The head chef was from India. It seemed we had a lot of curry dishes. Even in the main restaurants the food was dry and bland. We tried Cagney's Steakhouse. The starter were good but the entry , a Filet Mignon, was nothing exceptional.

Onboard Activities

Service and Staff

Our room steward,Putu Wilaya, made our cruise a very relaxing. He was very attentive and he always had a smile on his face.

Ship Quality

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
cabin was comfortable and big enough for the two of us. Balcony was big enough for the two of us. Putu alway kept our cabin exceptionally clean.

Ship tip

We think if we were to go on the Dawn again we would purchase a specialty dinning package, with the hopes that if we pay extra for the food it will be prepared with greater care.

Ports of call

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

Disembarkation

It has never been easier or taken less time for us to disembark.

We liked the specialty dining. We tried a lot of the standard food selections but they were below par. I wouldn't have paid for many of them on land.
