Review summary

Great time with great peopIe. I enjoy the feel of a smaller ship. The people and staff just seem nicer. Our group of 7 was always able to sit together and never felt that it was any inconvenience to any of the staff.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
No problems at all. We are two travelers that both need wheelchair assistance to board the ship. It went without a hitch.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Great food and great drinks! Our drink waiter Mandy was fantastic. Always there when needed. Great sense of humor and very helpful in finding seats for our group of 7 people. Wine Bar was great. In addition to tasting a flight we also attended a wine and chocolate tasting.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
Although we, personally, did not use any of these facilities except for the deck pool are we were able to find seating for all 7 and several of them did use the pool. I did however find that some of the pool deck areas were not kept clean. Barrettes and bandana on the floor from previous nights activities.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
Although the only entertainment we saw was Jose and Patti their shows and music were fabulous. Also particularly enjoyed the fact that as NE Patriots fans we were able to watch the Sunday night game in O'Sheehan's Pub.

Children's Programs

No children traveling with group

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Unfortunately a trip to medical was needed during the cruise. The medical staff was excellent! Great care was provided and all charges were completely explained berfore treatment was provided so no surprises when the bill was received. Our Room Steward Rhandy was fantastic. Always a bright smile and a cheerful greeting. In the dining room, I must make special mention of Charlotte. Two of our group had special dining needs, one gluten free and the other low sodium. Charlotte met with us the first day and went over the menus to show each one what was available. In addition she worked with the chef to have special versions of the items on the menu prepared by the chefs to accommodate needs if possible.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
In one word, beautiful. The one exception would be the "modern" paintings in the Venetian Dining Room. While provocative the clash terribly with the formal renaissance ambiance of the room. Without the ugly splashes of paint across the pictures, the room would be much better designed.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This was a handicapped balcony room with tons of space. We could not have a double bed but the two twin beds were comfortable and perfectly acceptable to us. The room was large enough to accommodate both of our scooters with plenty of room to get them in and out of the rooms. One minor complaint was there should have been outlets for us to recharge the scooter each night. With only one outlet outside the bathroom, we were gland we brought a splitter with 4 outlets on it.

Ship tip

Book a trip as soon as possible............you will love it!!!

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

3 out of 5
Live in Boston no need to tour, however distance from ship to other areas of Boston could be off putting for many travelers.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

3 out of 5
We were unable to leave the ship due to physical difficulties in walking any distance. Would have appreciated more handicapped accessible ways to get off ship to immigration/customs and then into dockyard area.

Disembarkation

3 out of 5
We again needed two wheelchairs to disembark. We sat for quite a while , while they took single passengers that arrived much later than we arrived down first. We finally asked why and were told they were waiting for two wheelchairs to arrive at the same time rather than wait for two to be available together, Since the wait between single arrivals for wheelchairs was less than 5 minutes we felt that that was really ridiculous and was quite an inconvenience.
