Review summary

Bermuda was beautiful and fun!! The kids had a blast!! The cruise itself, well thats a different story. I dont recommend anyone travel on the NCL Dawn. The ship and it staff overall sucked donkey nuts. They ran out of a lot of alcohol the second night of the cruise. "Restocked" when we hit Bermuda. Then ran out again the day after we left Bermuda. Half of the public bathrooms we always out of order. The bartenders and bar waiters were mostly rude, lazy, and ignorant. U had to wait forever for ur food in the restaurants. Every time u turned around something else was broken or they didnt have it. It was ridiculous. Norwegian Cruise Line should be embarrassed for putting on such a travesty. Everyone i talked to on the ship said the same thing. Even people in the shops in Bermuda heard about how bad the cruise was. The only good things on the ship were the kids club, the shows, and the food itself. (When u actually got it). I could go on and on. I know ill never step foot on a Norwegian cruise again!!

Very small and cramped. The bathroom was the size of a closet and the toilet area was very tiny.

We were on the June 24 cruise and three were so many repairs going on it was ridiculous. Stairs pool side being ripped out and replaced, railings being vanished, broken doors leading outside, broken toilets, broken slot machines, sections of deck roped off and under repair, shut down of the electrical system for testing. I have no complaints about the food or the shows which were both excellent but when the ship has been in dry dock for a month I think that all the repairs should have been done not while hard working people are taking their vacation that they have been waiting all year for.

I was on the July 8th and couldn't disagree with more. I had serious doubts about cruising with Norwegian but was pleasantly surprised. The staff was friendly we never ran out of liquor. We were upgraded to a suite which came with all the perks and worth every penny. But having said that I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much if I were in my original cabin. pool area was too crowded for me

dawn2121 - no, I'm not a naturally negative person! As I stated I have been on multiple cruises and have NEVER placed a complaint. But this cruise had so many problems it wasn't fair to the guests. The staff was outright RUDE in addition to the many problems on the ship.

I just don't get it ! How can there be people....on the same boat....at the very same time....saying "it was terrific" or, "it was horrible"....???

I wouldn't call water pouring from the ceiling on deck 12 perfect or the light that was hanging down the whole week also on deck 12 and the many bathrooms out of service 90 percent of the aracade games for the kids out of service, running out of most beers the second day, giving trouble about filling a kids food order when the kids menu is supposed to be available everywhere. Then after restocking in Bermuda they not only ran out of even more alcohol but also the Pepsi on tap. Dining in the main dining rooms taking 3 hours. I am not a negative person and I thought the elements show was great and we had a realitve good time. The kids loved the kids club. I thought maybe we were being too picky but when your daughter is getting her hair braided on the island and the lady asks what ship your on and you tell her the dawn and her response is oh everyone is complaining about that one, you realize its definitely not just you. Or when your on an elevator and people are randomly turning you to complain without you having to say anything. Everyone has a right to their own opinion. But for ship just out of drydock their shouldn't be so many issues.

I totally agree. we have been on a lot of cruises and I have NEVER complained until now. I sent Norwegian a message and asked to get some money refunded. We were told they were 150 people under staffed - if that was the case they never should have charge people full price for that cruise knowing it would be a disaster.
