Cruise was great, shore excursions-not so much!

Sail Date: August 01, 2014

Traveled As: Large Group

Room Type: Balcony

The  Cruise was great, I have no complaints. However, some in our group felt the rooms were small. Plenty of food. I would pay extra for "special dinning rooms" as the food in the two main dinning rooms were basically the same. Service was outstanding.

Destinations and Excursions
The shore excursions that we picked were a waste of money. Gosling's Rum sunset cruise was nothing more than a infomercial for their rum. The excursion to the local beach was a total waste of money. It was supposed to include all equipment that would be set up for you, our guide walked us over and dropped us immediately, we had to set everything up ourselves. The only time we saw him was when we were packing up, he came buy for a tip! You can walk there yourself (10 minutes) pay $10 on weekends $5 on weekdays rent snorkel equipment if you want and grab a beach chair and enjoy. Norwegian should drop this tour.
Cabin / Stateroom
You need to be organized and keep everything in its place as there is NO extra room to move around. There were 3 in my cabin and we did fine.

Tip

Don't forget your towels when going to the pool, if you ask for more there is a $25 deposit on them! Also, good luck trying to find a deck chair as (even though it is forbidden) people throw towels on chairs early in the AM and most never come back to use the chair.
