Review summary

We just returned from a 7-Day New England Cruise on the Norwegian Dawn and we had such a wonderful time!! The ship was beautiful, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the ports we stopped at were beautiful!!

We were cruising with friends and we wanted to hang out - just the four of us, so rented a jeep in Martha's Vineyard. The gentleman we rented the jeep from told us some things we might want to see - and WOW! We went to the opposite side of the island to a little fish market on the water and they cooked lobsters for us - it was the best lobster I have ever eaten!! We also visited John Belushi's grave, a lighthouse, and had a wonderful day!

We did the hop-on, hop-off again and really enjoyed it. We shopped and ate lunch at the original "Cheers" which was great!! We also visited the USS Constitution, the oldest commissioned Naval ship which was very cool.

We did the hop-on, hop-off tour which was a good way to learn about Nova Scotia. We made the entire loop then got off to have a wonderful fish & chips lunch, then took a whale-watch boat tour, unfortunately - we didn't get to see any whales, but it was a beautful day for a boat ride.

Acadia National Park - the fall colors were peak!! It was beautiful. The four of us rented a taxi, the driver was wonderful - she was our tour guide and did a wonderful job of telling us little things we would have never known. It was a beautiful day.

It was the end of our week - and we were beginning to wind down a bit. We bought a day-pass on the city's public transit and did the self-guided "Cliff Walk" and viewed the outside of many beautiful mansions.
