Overall, the ship makes a nice first impression. The decor is tasteful and elegant. The layout is as you would find on other large cruiseships. Dining rooms offer beautiful ocean views in many cases.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
3 out of 5
Considering dining is FreeStyle the quality of food is pretty good. It certainly wouldn't be the reason to book this cruise. The option to eat when and where you like would be the reason. Dining rooms are very nice, the ambience in LeBistro is elegant and Bamboo/Teppanyaki look just like restaurants you might frequent at home.
Entertainment
5 out of 5
The quality of the Jean Ryan Dance Company was top-notch. It was Vegas style without the Vegas cheese. I felt the singers and dancers were really talented and the shows were particularly good, the best I've seen comparing other cruise lines. The comedy entertainment was pretty standard but funny. There was the option of some late night adult comedy. The movie theater ran a pretty good selection of movies. It would have been an option if the weather has been worse.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
Every single crew member we met hailed from the Phillipines. They were, in all but a few cases, extremely polite and helpful. You could hardly put a dirty plate down in the cafe without it being quickly wisked away by one of many people. Our room stewards knew us by name day one and there was hardly a time when we weren't in our hallway that we didn't see one or the other of them.

Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
Our balcony stateroom was the nicest I've had on 4 different cruise lines. The bathroom is laid out very nicely considering the small size.
Obviously the "city" of Bermuda with lots of chain stores and shopping options. We didn't explore as much in Hamilton due to our other activities and the goal to not shop! There are still lots of historic things to see and we have them on our itinerary for next time. The wednesday night street party was fun and features many local artists, live music, and just an overall theme of a party.
I highly recommend renting biccyles and following the stunning railroad trail along the west side of the island (we started at Cambridge Beaches and traveled to Hamilton-returned the bikes by ferry from the Dockyard). It's not for the faint of heart to travel short distances on the main road but if you are active and brave it was a highlight of our trip. The trail allows only bikes and sometimes scooters and offers amazing views of Bermuda. I really felt like we saw the island this way. We went off the trail to see Elbow Beach which is stunning.
A very quaint little town I would recommend visitng. It was fun just to wander around and follow the cobblestone streets. We happened upon some really beautiful sites in particular the old church and graveyard. We followed a walking itineray in Frommers which highlighted our options. We also made the trek over the hill (do this early before you are hot and tired) to see Tobacco Bay. It was the first Bermuda beach we saw and I thought it was gorgeous. The Lily Bermuda perfume factory was fun with a short tour and the option to purchase their perfume library- a sample of all of their fragrances (for women) for $28.
