Review summary

Overall, the cruise was AWESOME. Express debarkation was wonderful too. Although we had to carry our luggage out ourselves, we woke up on our final day, had room service breakfast, and walked off the ship. Just like that. We waited in a small line doing this. Maybe about 15 minutes. Not a big deal. The stories we've heard about getting off were awful - but NCL has a great way of going about it. The excursion (Pearl Island Treasure Hunt) was awsome too. We snorkled, found 4 conk shells (a total of 6 people were in our group). One of us even found a pearl! Worth $200. It was awesome. The kids got to swim with stingrays and pet them. It was just wonderful! Laying on the beach was nice too and snorkling there.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
The food was wonderful. We loved everything we ate. The reservations for the different restaurants was awful, but that was it.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment was wonderful. Second City commedy act, a magician, a juggler, and the cruise director were all great!!!

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
The kids had a blast. The teen program was great. Both kids made a lot of friends. They say that this vacation was the best ever - better than Disney World. Cruising is the way to go!

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was better than awesome! The friendliest people ever. From beginning to end. The entertainment even mingled with the passengers so we could talk to them. The staff was ALWAYS willing to help out if we needed anything at all. Gilbert, one of our waiters, was awesome. Would check on us constantly, making sure we were ok. Filled my husbands bucket of beer with ice constantly - it was funny!

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship was great. The ship was beautiful. The entertainment was wonderful. The kids had a great time as well with the entertainment.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Our room was tight, but that was ok. We weren't there too often. We had 4 people in one room. It was very clean and neat the whole time. The loocation was perfect. Watching what was happening out the window was loved by all 4 of us.

Ports of call

Nassau, Bahamas

We went snorkling. The kids loved it. Went on a treasure hunt. Found conk shells (they stink by the way, but we'll clean them up). My sister-in-law found a pearl worth over $200. It was cool. I've never snorkled before - it was a blast!!
Don't Miss: Pearl Island Treasure Hunt

King's Wharf, Bermuda

We went shopping. It was a blast. Bermuda was beautiful. The people were so friendly there. Everyone was wonderful. We visited one of the forts (don't remember the name). Even the kids had fun there!
Don't Miss: Not sure what to visit. Everything there was great.

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

5 out of 5
We went to the beach and hung out. Rented more snorkle equipment because it was so fun. It was a blast on the beach. Got a little too much sun, but it was still a lot of fun!!! I've always loved going to the beach. Just hanging out. Had drinks when I wanted them because the same staff from the boat was there on the beach helping us out.

Pros: I enjoyed relaxing by the pool in the sun -- and the entertainment.

Cons: The only thing that was not great about our cruise was making dinner reservations. It was very difficult to make reservations so we could only eat in the finer restaurants 3 days of our cruise.

Recommends Norwegian Dawn? Yes!
