Review summary

Our was good. We went on it to reconnect with a crew member. We loved all our excursions except Costa Maya. The ship was ok. but I'm going to stick to my Gem class ships. I feel the activities and entertainment was not in the best locations . On our smaller ship we never have a problem. The buffet is also easier to maneuver on the smaller ships.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

3 out of 5
We enjoyed the food on the ship but the buffet was a weird set up. Not enough room for the amount of people on the ship, especially for breakfast.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not enough for how many people were on ship

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The entertainment was ok. It was just not enough room in all the small venues on the ship. Long lines to get in and not enough seating.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The staff was great. Spendt a lot of time in Malting Whiskey bar. The staff there was fantastic.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Too many small areas. The atrium was really not big enough for the games. We actually had people jump over the back of chairs to get seating.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Cabin was great except there were no drawers, just shelves.

We went to Pleasure Island. It was ok but the lounge chairs were funky. They were low on the sand and hard to get in and out of.

Coxen Hole, Roatan, Bay Islands, Honduras

My husband said this was the best snorkeling.

Harvest Caye, Belize

5 out of 5
We loved Harvest Caye. Good swimming. Lunch was excellent. Just remember even though it's Norwegian's Island you can't use your key cards. It was still fun!

Costa Maya (Mahahual), Mexico

2 out of 5
We went on a beach excursion where there was so much seaweed you couldn't swim. The vendor also drove you crazy because all you could do is lay on the loungers. If we go again we will stay at the port it was great with shops and swim up bars.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Ours was good because we had a late flight. We did a tour of New Orleans. It was probably the best part of the trip. We visited cemeteries, city park and stopped for coffee and bignets. They drop us off at the airport.

Thanks for your sharing your experience. We did the same itinerary a couple of years ago and while we liked the ship, we didn’t care for Costa Maya either.
