Worst cruise we have ever been on! Have no plans to ever take another cruise line with Norwegian Cruise line again. The lack of communication and organization coupled with terrible food and ok service made a miserable experience.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining
1 out of 5
The buffet was absolutely terrible- And the 2 main dinning restaurants were hit and miss primarily a mis. The meals at the Irish pub were ok most the the times. We had 2 specialty restaurants experieces one was good. The food and staff was wonderful at Cagney's however the food and service at the teppanyaki was terrible. Also the food at the Velvet show was uneatable and the performance was subpar.
Onboard Activities
3 out of 5
The timing to use the slides and climbing activities were while we were meant to be exploring the ports I did not use the fitness center as they did not offer my interests.
Entertainment

Velvet was terrible and I want a refund as we left because it was so bad. AND the food was terrible and that was also the view of people we did not even know sitting at our table.
Service and Staff

Our room steward was AMAZING! He really really went out of his way to great us, and make small talk -He even taught us how to fold the animal towels. The other staff and waiters though always kind they were not prepared nor fantastic

Ship tip
Think again as the overall staff is unprepared for an emergency and the cruise director is not organized and did not share important information
Completely unorganized, the food was removed before we left the ship leaving diabetics in a panic, and long unorganized lines the ultimately lead to a fainting situation in which the crew was completely unprepared for and yet again had a deer in headlights situation.
I'm sorry things went so poorly during your trip. On the Breakaway right now. I have no complaints about the food and have eaten at Taste, Savor, O'Sheehans and the buffet. Just went to the 5:15 dinner show Velvet. They were serving steak which I do not eat and they were able to accommodate me with a salmon dinner. The show had a cringy moment or two but overall it was high energy and true to its Studio 54 inspiration. The tender experience at Newport was terrible. Unless you really want to see something in town, can start and end your time on shore before lunch or have Haven priority, I'd skip getting off the boat here. Literally 100s on people on line in the afternoon to tender back to the ship and leaving the line to go to the bathroom resulted in me being rudely ordered to the back of the line after a 20 minute wait.
