Great time on the Breakaway. Great crew. Good layout.

Embarkation

Embarkation was convoluted. My docs said my boarding time was 11:30-12:30 and to not come early. I arrived at 11:00 and a thousand people were in line. The bottleneck seemed to be only two people checking covid cards and test results. They made us wear masks in the terminal even though no masks were required on board.

Food was always good. No problem getting at table as there we were not at full capacity.

Onboard Activities

Most of the general activities were good, but the solo host wasn't great which lead to not many people coming to the solo meet-ups on sesequent nights. I did meet a young woman and had a GOOD time with her, but were it not for that it would have been a very lonely cruise.

We had an actual man overboard situation when a man jumped over the side. I was in a position to be able to watch the search and rescue team prepare to launch. Unfortunately, the man was never found, but the actions of the crew were commendable.

10772 is a standard amidships balcony stateroom. It is co figured with the bed bear the window rather than the door which I prefer as you don't have to crawl around the bed to get to the rest of the room.

Ship tip

Get either and an amidship or aft stateroom. There is no forward elevator

I heard a lot of grumbling from the people who tried to self-disembark early, but I was ready and went quickly once my color group was called and was off the ship in under five minutes.
