Review summary

Overall this was a pleasant cruise. The ship and cruise staff were great. The ship was only at about 1/3 capacity on this cruise and I am sure that helped. Bermuda was nice but a lot of the attractions and shopping has not yet recovered from the Covid shut down.

Embarkation

3 out of 5
Lot of back up at check in we arrived at 11:00 AM as advised and it was 2:00 PM before we got on board. Also there were no separation by Latitudes level. Just one big mass of people.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
We had great food at all the restaurants both the main dining rooms and the specialty restaurants. We only grabbed a few snacks at the buffet but those were good as well.

Onboard Activities

5 out of 5
I did the ropes course and found it to be fun and challenging.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We went to one show while on this cruise. The production of Six, it was very well done. We really enjoyed it. We like to dance and there were several musicians that performed good dance music. Leo was our favorite to dance to.

Children's Programs

No children on board.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
All the service staff were great. They were very happy to be back to work and it showed. We asked for a mattress topper the first day and our room steward had it on within an hour. The food service were very responsive to any request at the meals. The bartenders (AJ and DJ) at the Sail and Sustain bar were outstanding. There daily drinks were always interesting and the variety of flavors allowed everyone to find something they liked.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
All areas of the ship were clean and were repeatedly cleaned while we were on board.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
This room was classed as a Club Balcony. Our bathroom was larger than a regular balcony cabin. We had a double sink vanity and a larger shower. The cabin size was about the same as a regular balcony cabin.

Ship tip

Bring water and snacks to check in.

Disembarkation

We booked an after cruise city tour that ended at the airport. The bus got caught in traffic on the way to pick us up and was late. The tour was fun though.

My wife and I were in the same cruise. It was a very welcome and relaxing week. To bad it went so quickly.

Did you need to get a Covid test before you went or just the one they give at the dock? Going next month on the Gem.

Norwegian's policy says you are not allowed to bring waters on board. Has that changed?

Thank you for your review. I have been wondering about the check-in and boarding process. Platinum/Diamond and Suites have previously been separate.
