Had priority boarding. Embarkation was a breeze. When we boarded we went straight to Garden Cafe. We were first up there on deck 15. Had our pick of table.

We made our dinner reservations months out. First night was in Taste dining room. Great food and atmosphere. Second night was our favorite Cagney's. The prime rib was wonderful. The third night was our least enjoyable. The Manhattan main dining room. The dining room is very large. The large number of people made service slow and noisy. I rated dining 5 stars because I'm a more reserve person and this experience is personal preference. The Savory was also good. This is the best place for sit down breakfast. We ate breakfast here five times. Another great experience was eating at the Ocean Blue. We ate outside on deck and watched the sun set. The fish was excellent. Only ate at buffet on embarkation. Food was good but it's a mad house with everyone scrambling for buffet. The ice cream is great from the self serve. Great experience overall with dining.
Cagney's Steakhouse

Love Cagney's. Have eaten at Cagney's on every cruise. I especially like the prime rib. The deserts are outstanding. Have never had bad service.
Savor Restaurant

This is a hidden jewel on the Breakaway. We preferred this resturant for breakfast especially. Dinner is same as Manhattan and Taste. Service is quicker than Manhattan. I presume because Savory is smaller. Another reason we preferred over Manhattan is less noise. All dining room food is great.
Taste Restaurant

Taste is same as Savory except on different side of ship. Taste does not open for breakfast. Just like Savory smaller, better service and quieter than Manhattan.
Ocean Blue on the Waterfront

Love this resturant. The weather cooperated and we ate on deck outside. Was wonderful to sit outside and watch sun set. The fish was delicious. One can pick from four differ topping or ways prepared. Service was outstanding.

Did not participate in on board activities not because of poor activities but personal choice. I like to just relax on our balcony.

The show's on Breakaway was best from any cruise. Six is the best. The singing and dancing in Burn the Floor was great.

Cabin was comfortable, very clean and the size was adequate.
Ship tip
Eat in the smaller dining room, ie Savory and Taste. Better service than Manhattan. Savory great for breakfast.
Not Ocho Rios but Falmouth. Falmouth is better organized and cleaner than Ocho Rios. Jamaica is one stop that vendors outside of port area are anointing. If going outside area go with an excursion guide.
Had excursion that visited Turtle farm, and rum distillery and Rum cakes. Enjoyed both. Guide was educational about b as banking economy and real estate. Also stopped at Govenor mansion and famous peoples homes.
Enjoyed tour through Shore Excursioneer. Visited different communities and catholic church. Stopped downtown enjoyed shopping and eating at local restaurant. Weather was very warm but not unbearable. Probably would be miserable in Summer.
We were also on the same cruise. Had a great time. Loved the ship. Enjoyed the food and drinks. All servers were quick polite and accommodating. First time on the Breakaway won’t be our last. Velvet dinner show was also excellent.
