Norwegian Breakaway

7 Night Eastern Caribbean (Port Canaveral Roundtrip)

Review summary

The cruise itself was enjoyable, just the activities were very limited in variety and frequency. You would see a couple of things you might want to do throughout your day but they're spread out HOURS apart. You might see something you want to do at 10 am and something else interesting all the way at 3 pm and something else at 9 pm. A lot of the time I was wondering around on the ship just looking for something fun to do other than watch a presentation on shopping at the cruise ports. They need to change that and add more variety of events to the schedule.

The cabin we stayed in was a balcony cabin. It was your basic cruise ship cabin but it for some reason still felt very small and serves 2 people well but 3 or more and you'll feel the cramped space very quickly.

Ship tip

A piece of advice I would give someone about to sail on this ship or any ship really is to get up and have fun. Don't be scared to put yourself out there and volunteer to be a part of the shows or games. Too many on our ship would remain seated when the cruise staff asked for volunteers to play games out of fear or shyness, but they were always willing to easily sit and watch and judge others do things they were too afraid to do. You're on this cruise to have fun and nobody is going to remember it after a week so get up and get out of your shell!!

Tortola, British Virgin Islands

Not a lot to do here except tours of the city, which is just regular banks and restaurants. Not worth it by any means to do the tours here.

Good tip for those who want to volunteer but just need a nudge. But there is nothing wrong with sitting back and watching others "have fun" especially for those who are in the limelight at home and want a break from that. It is a good thing that there are different personalities and different ideas of fun.
