It was packed! We loved our room and had fun with a great multi-generational group. The service was excellent on ship in a personal way, our only complaints were that they would not ask kids to leave the adult areas, and this resulted in NO POOL for 1 of only 2 "at sea" days on the ship. No bueno! They never did ask the kids to go to their own areas when they should have. I also didn't like that they did not fix some of the broken areas the whole time were on ship. The shows were FABULOUS and the food was extraordinary. I highly recommend you go to the Brazilian steakhouse. The salad bar and the meats are outrageously yummy. You will not be disappointed. Bring cash on the ship as NCL charges you to take $$$ off your stateroom (unlike other lines). =)
Embarkation

TSA was a bit of a pain but once on the ship it was amazing.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining

Food was great, but the reservationists with NCL were clueless for special diets! I am a travel advisor and specialize with special diets and being able to eat our special way! I was able to complete it, but it took some work and now I know how to get it done for my clients!
Onboard Activities

Our cruise was FULLY BOOKED and the NCL employees neglected to keep kids out of adult areas so our first and only 1/2 sea days, a child vomitted in the adult pool and they had to close it down and took the whole day to refill and get the chemical #s correct. This was not great at all, especially because that did not help NCL to take control of the kids being in adult areas. This was particularly upsetting to those of us that tried to get into the VIBE for an adult only experience and was told there were no more spots very early on to the embarkation process.
Entertainment

Loved the dance show, and had so much fun at the 80s night Poor house show, and loved the Howl at the Moon dueling pianos. It was fabulous, great shows. Highly recommend.
Service and Staff

On ship services were phenomenal, again highly recommend you have your own TA and not an NCL one, but the service on the ship was terrific for us. I do wish that they had someone to keep the kids out of the adult areas, though. =)
Ship Quality

Needed a bigger pool and could have fixed and refilled the busy pool restrooms better (they never fixed the sinks that were out of order the whole trip) but overall, not too bad!

Mini Suite - 10806 was terrific, had a nice big bathroom and balcony. Very roomy for 2.
Ship tip
Get up early to get any pool chairs! Don't miss the shows and bring plenty of cash to avoid being nickel and dimed by the ship for some things (like casino cash, etc).
LOVED Roatan and plan to bring my grown daughters back for a week vacation. Very nice. Safe, lovely. Do not order an excusion, get off boat and walk out to get a cab to West Bay. Snorkel there. Way better and cheaper.
great experience, quick and easy although they jacked up our bags pretty bad (way worse than the airlines) when they brought them off the ship to pickup before customs.
Great review and I absolutely agree with you 100% about Moderno! That is our favorite specialty restaurant.
As far as booking with a TA, I think that depends on the individual. If you’re just a regular cruiser with no special needs/dietary restrictions etc. the only true benefit of using a TA would be any additional promos that they might be offering such as pre-paid gratuities or onboard credit, because other than that you can handle everything yourself.
We have a TA that I use for our land-based vacations, and I will use her to book our cruises just so that she gets the commission. This next cruise, her agency was actually offering prepaid gratuities so that was an added bonus for sure, plus we had extra onboard credit offered to us because we booked another trip within a certain time frame of returning from our last land tour we booked with that agency. I love our TA so we really just use her so she gets commission from our trips tho, not because I couldn’t handle it myself. 🤷🏻♀️
