Review summary

Overall an enjoyable time. We like NCL and this cruise provided some much needed relaxation time and a decent itinerary. Will be back on a NCL ship shortly

Embarkation

Embarkation went very smooth. We were on board and drinking our first umbrella drink within 25 minutes of arriving at port. We used NCL provided bus from airport to port and got to ship around noon

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

Food at the specialty restaurants was great. We did Le Bistro, Ocean Blue, Teppanyaki, and Cagney’s. The MDR was ok, about what you would expect for complimentary dining. Did not enjoy Shanghai Noodles that much. The Buffet was pretty standard but only used for lunch and crepes. The bar staff were exceptional. They had to put up with very crowded conditions but managed to get to everyone in a timely manner

Onboard Activities

Enjoyed the slides and rope course. Really did not have too long of a wait even on sea days. The main pool was too small for a ship of that size and, as expected, was full of people enjoying the drink package to the max.

Entertainment

Enjoyed both main shows and the smaller ones. The band at Syd’s was exceptionally good. Upset that Jungle Fantasy was cancelled for this sailing, did not go to see its replacement

Really did not see any surly crew. Everyone seemed to want to ensure passengers had a good time. Our steward did a great job and provided towel animals every day.

The only issue I had was didn’t like position of casino mid ships

Cabin was clean and provided enough room for three including a 19 year old. We got the mini suite to get the bigger bathroom and was worth it. Balcony size was adequate for morning coffee and evening drinks.
