This was our first norwegian cruise and will be our last. This was our 4th cruise overall. Will stick with carnival from now on like our last 3 cruises.
Embarkation

Went out of New Orleans staff barking orders yelling. Stood in line forever. Was told to stand in a line after 25 mins was told it wasnt even a line was told to go to another line stood there for another 30 mins. Rather go with any port out of florida.

Food and Dining

Buffet had the same food everyday most of the time it was cold. Ice cream machines were turned off most of the time. Only.got to eat in one speciality restaurant only because guest services got.us in. Everything else was always booked up. Dining room was ok always felt rushed to eat so next people could come in.

Had the same food everyday for breakfast and lunch. Didnt eat dinner here ever.
Bar at the Atrium

Always over packed. Bartenders always talked about the one bartenders mustache and how it makes all the ladies go wild...

Was able to go to the pool one time while in port only because everyone was at port other times and days it was packed. Wasnt able to sit in the hot tubs at all due to being packed. Everything closed at 10..

Didnt get to go to any shows due to them being booked up.
Children's Programs

Absolutely loved splash Academy they were amazing to our 10 year old autistic son and our 4 year old daughter. They had a blast in there. My son was upset he couldn't go to the pj party on the last day becausr they only allowed 30 kids in there instead of the usual 55. They let kids in who hadnt even been in the academy at all during the week.
Service and Staff

Service was lousy and staff was rude and nasty to us. With the exception of 2 ladies in taste restaurant. Room steward was rude hardly saw him. Hardly did anything to our room. I guess he was overwhelmed.
Ship Quality

Layout was good. Plates were always in the hallways and cups laying in elevators.
Cabin / Stateroom

Bed was hard as rock. Layout was good worked for myself, husband, and 2 kids. Cabin was cleaned most of the time.
Agreed Fcall. I am usually up at midnight on the 90th day to book all shows and specialty dining. Never had an issue getting a spot for either. Definitely should’ve planned better, although it can be difficult knowing what you want to do s far in advance. Better to book and then cancel than not have a reservation at all!
You said room steward did nothing but room was clean... so he must have done something! We have always been able to get into shows in stand by line. Sounds like you did the walk off program with your own luggage. Why didn't you stay with carnival? I've never had the number of bad times on a cruise that you mentioned! We always find more positive than negative things in every cruise. We love Norwegian!
Sounds like you fail to plan.... cruising in June, all restaurants booked, shows booked, all that is left is to get there and relax...you have to plan any vacation no matter what!
