Tips for NCL cruising: Spend time on NCL.com and 1) read all the FAQs concerning general topics; 2) read about the Upgrade Advantage Program (both FAQ and T&Cs) so you understand the bidding process (if you're looking for an upgrade); 3) read the T&Cs if you have the UBP or SDP so you may fully enjoy them (the key one for the SDP is that you are allowed unlimited apps, sides and desserts but only 1 entree (additional charge if you want an additional entree)); 4) you may bring unlimited bottles of wine on board ($15 corkage fee per bottle). Bring the wine in your carry on and they process it right after security..... you may drink anywhere on the ship put still pay the corkage fee even if consumed in room; 5) if you need distilled water for CPAP then write to accessdesk@ncl.com to request it (free) be delivered to room. If you have any other dietary needs or require assistance at embarkation (wheelchair) then definitely email the Access Desk; 6) no straws on NCL (but that may be changed by your cruise date); 7) they will have a laundry special that is approx $20 and you fill a bag. The bag is paper so ask the room steward for a pillow case and use that to line the bag, roll your clothes tight and you may fit more without ripping bag; 8) bring a refillable water bottle to take advantage of the FREE water throughout the ship. You are required to use a plastic glass to transfer the water from the machine to your bottle for sanitary purposes; 9) bring a travel coffee mug to enjoy your coffee while relaxing on deck; 10) NO SURGE PROTECTORS. Here's a great article explaining why surge protectors are dangerous (along with a link to a US Coast Guard advisory about them) : http://www.cruisehabit.com/power-strips-why-theyre-not-allowed-ships-and-how-safely-gain-some-extra-outlets;

If you click on a person's avatar and they have populated their cruise profile (truthfully) then you can get what itinerary etc they are on. I would head over to Cruise Critic and join the Roll Call for your specific cruise and attend the Meet and Greet... great info shared over there.

Thanks for your review!! Glad it was enjoyable!! Our son will be boarding the middle of November. Husband and I first week of December. Kind of worried about crowds. It’s our first time on a ship this large. Any advice?? 🛳❣️🛳❣️🛳
