The ship was very nice. The food was mediocre (my wife gained one pound/I gained two pounds). The weather was spectacular-9 days of sun and pleasant temperatures. Must be the only time in recorded history with that kind of weather as it's often cloudy, overcast and rainy. I was in the pool (must be heated) 7 out of 9 days. Even went down the water slide. Casino was paying off much which is typical of most cruise ships. The beverage package was a big plus although a glass of dessert wine was an upcharge for some reason.

Ship experiences
Food and Dining

The "included" food options were mediocre at best. Very institutional/hospital like. The buffet was the worst. They had no servers bringing coffee refills, juice, etc. At in Cagney's steakhouse (ala carte of course) and had a delicious steak. Filet was very good in the Japanese hibatchi restaurant (specialty charge of course). We've sailed on Princess and Celebrity and the food on those ships was far and away better

Fairly new, modern ship. I'm anxious to compare this ship to one of the newer Princess ships
First day to Peterhof with wonderful young, energetic tour guide. Planned to visit Catherine's Palace the second day but thought two castles were too much so changed and did the city tour. We had free time for shopping and food. Our guide was difficult to understand due to her accent and some rude guests in the back of the bus who wouldn't shut up
Land and water tours so saw the city from both areas. Visited the Vassa Museum (Swedish warship sunk in 1628 and brought up 300 years later. Thought it would be boring but it was amazing. Must see
