Review summary

Had a great time but will probably fly to Bermuda for a future visit instead of cruising. First time with Norwegian and will probably try a different cruise line for the next cruise, or at least a ship with fewer amenities and fewer passengers.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
No issues, fairly smooth. Parked at the port which was shockingly easy and convenient.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
Loved the specialty restaurants, especially the Brazilian and Hibachi. Buffet also fantastic quality with many options. Had a taco bar only once- I was surprised that Mexican was not offered each meal, as Japanese and Indian were.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Water slides- enjoyed them a lot. Didn't do the rock wall or ropes course. Always busy with limited hours. Mini golf was a mess- no one manning the area, not enough clubs or balls, items not put away properly. Pools were small. Limited deck chairs in the shade. Enjoyed the stretch class at the gym. Bingo was ridiculously expensive. It was almost $70 for 9 cards- only 3 games! Budget bingo was only $20...but it was only 1 game!

Entertainment

2 out of 5
The newlywed game show was hilarious! However it was not in the main theater, but in the atrium. Not nearly enough seating so had to stand. Have to reserve space for the shows- i didnt like that because you have to plan ahead. I'd rather go to a show if I feel like it spontaneously. They have a comedy club- was looking forward to stand up shows, which I didn't see advertised. Several improv shows. Karaoke was so late-night didn't start till 10 or later most nights. LOVED the crew talent show!

Children's Programs

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff was so friendly. Our cabin steward was awesome. No issues with staff or service at all.

Ship Quality

3 out of 5
Because of all the amenities on the top decks- running track, rock wall, ropes course, water slides, mini golf, pools- everything was very tight and squished. I think I would forego some of these items for more space on the top decks. Ship was very clean. You do have to walk through the casino on deck 7 to get from one side to the other. Smoking is allowed here so I found it unpleasant. It could be designed differently so that the casino was off to the side of the walkway.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
Small as expected. Kept very clean by our cabin steward.

Ports of call

New York, New York Did not visit port

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

Loved this port! Bermudans are so friendly! St. George's is very historic, and Hamilton more modern. Enjoyed Horseshoe beach-there is a walking trail with many alcove behind it. Crystal caves- would recommend seeing Crystal Caves, but Fantasy Caves isn't necessary. The local buses are cheap and easy to use. Recommend visiting Dockyard Glassworks in the Royal Naval Dockyard.

Disembarkation

Horrible. We signed up for 8am and didn't get off till 10. Waited in a line for about 2 hours. Apparently this doesn't happen all the time.
