Review summary

Thankfully I am a positive person and I went with great friends and family. I made the most of a terrible experience but would never cruise Norweign Breakaway again.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Leaving was great we couldnt wait to go so the long wait was ok.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
The food and the staff were not what I am use to. The quality of food at the resurant as well as the buffet were the same and were a Denny's quality. The specalty resuraunts where we paid more (3x) were very good but that is the food we had included on our Royal Caribean and Carnival cruise's with out the extra cost.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Pools were way to small and seating around a running deck is just rediculous,.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
Ok but nothing magnificant.

Children's Programs

2 out of 5
The kids pool closed atleast 3x he had to get out. Also they had no back up plan for when that would happen . Also I only got 1 sheet to tell me what was going on on what days and times. They did not go out of their way to make sure kids were included and hard to find.

Service and Staff

1 out of 5
Not many people spoke english and everyone seemed to be in training from the wait staff to the cleaning staff to the cooks.

Ship Quality

2 out of 5
Our room was cleaned 2 out of the 7 days. We had 2 animals made for us out of 7 days and I could not even tell you our stewards name. That is a first for me.

Cabin / Stateroom

3 out of 5
Cabin being a balcony with an open view was good. The chairs were hard and sat straight up so not really for tanning or reading. The best thing on the cruise was the showers big and had alot of jets which was nice since the jacuzzi's always had to many people in them.

Ship tip

Skip it and go on a different line.

Ports of call

New York, New York

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

Port was great . The fact that the island shut down totally for 2 days due to a cricket match an neither BJ's nor the Norweign told us ahead of time I am still pissed about.

Disembarkation

1 out of 5
We had to walk from once side of the ship all the way to the other and if that wasn't bad enough walk back again through the casino (smoking section) with luggage. Not good for anyone but especially tiresome for my 79 year old father.
