Review summary

This cruise was a good first time cruise for me. The 3 and a half total days at sea was a bit to much for me as the ship was nice, but did not have a luxury of things to do. I wish we would have has an extra day at Bermuda instead of at sea as Bermuda was beautiful! Overall, I was satisfied with the cleanliness of the room and the options at the dining hall. The ship was very large and packed, so don't go into this cruise with the expectation of having a lot of space. The only real negative was the small pool so it was always packed. I did not go into this cruise expecting a luxury experience, so I think that helped a bit. I would definitely go back to Bermuda!

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was relatively easy although we had to wait an hour (we arrived at 10am) in the waiting area to get onboard as they were still disembarking last week's cruise

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
We did not attend any of the specialty restaurants and we were satisfied with the main didn't rooms. Although, the buffet could get packed at times.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The kids loved the water slides and ropes course. Most of the days were spent by the pool. The pool was small for one ship, but that did not take away from the experience.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
We went to the dueling piano bar and it was very fun!

Service and Staff

4 out of 5
A majority of the staff was very nice and helpful with whatever you asked them! You always have one or two people who are grumpy.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
The design of the ship was very basic and the ship staff kept it very clean!

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
The size of the cabin was great in comfort and size! We brought an over the shoe rack for the door though as there is not a lot of space to put all your miscellaneous items. Our steward was great and very nice and kept our room very clean!

Ship tip

I am a first time cruiser so I went in with 0 expectations. I think if you would have gone into this cruise with high expectations you may have been a little disappointed. There was plenty to do on the ship, but the biggest negative was the small pool so it was almost packed.

Ports of call

New York, New York

3 out of 5
New York is busy, but that is New York.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
Bermuda was beautiful and I wish we had an other day there! A group of us booked a private deep sea fishing charter and caught a ton of fish! The other day we went to the crystal caves (a must see in my opinion) and Horseshoe Beach (pink sand). We used public transportation and it was very easy to get around the island. Bermuda is very clean and the people are very helpful. I would definitely go to Bermuda again!

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Got off the ship early at 8am and brought the bags with our self and the whole disembarkation and going the customs process took a maximum of 30 minutes.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

Definitely learned a lot and no qualms from me about the cruise! I hear royal Caribbean is one of the most luxurious but more expensive. I may try that cruise line next. You get what you pay for I guess!

You learned some nice lessons, and had a nice cruise too! Knowing you could do a land vacation just on Bermuda is a good take-away. Enjoy your next excursion (wet or dry).
