Review summary

We had a fantastic time and can't wait to plan and go on the next cruise. We reconnected and fell even deeper in love. This was such a wonderful trip for us.

Embarkation

5 out of 5
My embarkation was streamlined and super fast. I was on the ship within 20 minutes of arriving to the terminal.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

5 out of 5
The food was excellent in taste and texture. There was so much variety in the buffets and main dining rooms that we only went to one specialty restaurant for my birthday.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
We went to the pool and fitness center. The pool and hot tubs were crowded on some days which for me meant I was not getting in. There wasn't a pool for wading. The pool only had an 8 foot deep center where you had to swim laps or the edges where there were "shelves" where people sat or stood. These shelves were crowded at times. The fitness center had a variety of equipment and was well maintained.

Entertainment

5 out of 5
The entertainment is very good. We always found a show, games or party to partake in. The 80's party, latin party, and white party were all very fun. The DJ's played a variety of music and we danced the night away several nights. Burn the floor and the magician show were excellent.

Children's Programs

We do not have children.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
The stateroom attendant was the BEST! We also received excellent and personal service from the waiters, gift shop and jewelry store personnel. All of the staff was pleasant and tried their best to always be helpful.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
The ship is gorgeous and well maintained. The elevators ran 100% of the time (this is not the case on other cruises I have been on). It felt luxurious and grand.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
The cabin was a good size for 2 adults to not feel crowded. The bed was large and comfortable, even for my 6'3 " partner. Everything was very clean when we arrived and the stateroom attendant cleaned daily. The TV was nice and had a variety of shows and movies that we watched when we ate in the room or from bed.

Ship tip

You don't need to purchase the beverage package. I purchased the $650 package on my Royal Caribbean Cruise and learned it was a waste of money if you are NOT a big drinker of alcoholic beverages. Bring 2 or 3 bottles of wine like I did ($15 will be charged per bottle) if you drink wine. Cocktails are $6-9 dollars at the bars and restaurant so my grand total in cocktails for 7 days was $56. Coffee, water, milk, and juice are all included for free in the buffets and restaurants.

Ports of call

New York, New York

5 out of 5
I live in NY and embarked here so I did not do excursions. However, NY is a fantastic city and there is definitely something to do for everyone.

Royal Naval Dockyard, West End, Bermuda

5 out of 5
The beaches are gorgeous, sightseeing to the caves and aquarium was amazing. Bermuda is a beautiful country and just driving around will be a joy.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
We chose to carry our luggage off the ship and were thrilled that the entire process to disembark was also 20 minutes.

Good for you. My ex wife asked for a divorce after our cruise. Cruise was great, life is better without her.
