Review summary

This was our second Bermuda cruise on the NCL Breakaway.  The ship offers many amenities including specialty dining venues, numerous clubs, great entertainment and seemingly unlimited activities throughout the day & night.  Our special dietary needs received the proper attention, which made the week much easier (although we were a little disappointed that there were fewer No-Sugar-Added dessert choices this time than 2 years ago).

We were disappointed, however, that we were not included in the Latitudes party on board (we were included last year on the Jewel) as it was for members at silver level and higher.  When we returned home - fully expecting to now be silver-level Latitude members - we were further disappointed to learn that NCL changed the accrual requirements back in February!  We were never notified of this change.  Although we are devoted NCL fans, one of the reasons for continuing to sail with NCL was the (former) ease with which you could achieve higher levels.  Again, disappointing.

That said, we were very happy with our second Breakaway cruise and would recommend NCL and this ship to anyone!

Activities are abundant, which give you a lot of choices. One thing I have to say is that everything is VERY LOUD!

Our cabin steward must have been new. She was very nice and friendly and cleaned our cabin well, but couldn't remember special requests and missed providing some of the items we have come to expect.

Ship tip

Take the time to fully explore the ship - everywhere you can get to . . . there are many hidden treasures. We found a sun deck - for adults only - that we didn't know was there!

You should have gotten an invite to the cocktail party in your room. its basically a sales pitch to get people to buy the future cruise program.
