Review summary

Way too many people on this cruise. Over 5000 people on the boat. Didn't feel like a vacation because you had to wait on line for everything and battle to get a chair at the pool deck. Everything is a sales pitch (the spa, fitness center, or 'educational' art seminars). If you are dissatisfied or didn't use a service, guest services refuses to refund your money. The wifi is the biggest rip off. Beware to log out properly - even if you turn the wifi off on your phone, it still uses MBs. The cruise ship could not stop at the private island which, I heard another guest mention, happens regularly. The bathroom floods every time you shower.

To top it all off, the stateroom attendant asked my daughter to "go out dancing" with him in the Bahamas and followed her into the stateroom and closed the door behind him. This made my daughter feel very scared and uncomfortable. We felt the cruise line was less than accommodating in this situation. We had to argue to either have our stateroom changed or have the attendant removed from our floor. This should have been a no brainer for Norwegian. Should not have even had to argue about such a thing. Ultimately, we had to switch our room in the middle of the cruise and little was done in way of the inconvenience.

I have been on many cruises (over 10) and I have never had such an experience. This trip has made me never want to take another cruise again. I definitely feel like I need another vacation after this "vacation"

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

The ship holds 4,028 guest and 1,595 crew....... so over 5,600 people on her.

No way was there 5,000 pax.  The Breakaway, as in all cruise ships, is limited by available lifeboat capacity.  That is why you will sometimes find empty cabins on a "sold out" ship.

That's funny. I was thinking the same thing. Fighting for pool chairs was the worst offense?

Interesting review.. 8 separate complaints, (yes I counted) basically about everything.. All came first and foremost before your 9th complaint, your child's alleged stalking. Priorities? I get it, buyers remorse. So try and get as much back as possible. Of course though only after using it all. Sad...

IF what you say happened to my daughter and nothing was done..... the room change for me wouldn't have been a different stateroom.... it would've been to the brig. That being said, I can understand complaints about food or lack of beach towels or watered down drinks...... but to accuse a cruise line of totally ignoring a sexual assault is pretty crazy.

The Breakaway's double occupany is 4,000 people.  Add on three to four per cabin and you'll probably approach 5,000.

The bigger the ship, the larger the crowd on the beach. I learned this during my Navy days. Went from aircraft carriers to a destroyer. What a difference! The same rings true on a cruise ship. I always go for the smaller ship.

That issue with the stateroom attendant should've been reported to security. That should not have happened. I would've gotten that person's name and followed all the way through until i got satisfaction from NCL.
