Review summary

The cruise itself was lovely. Port Canveral, Grand Stirrup Cay, and Nassau were just beautiful, sunny and warm. The beaches were lovely. The cruise line left much to be desired. Freestyle dining is a joke. If you did not have reservations you waited and waited for a table. One evening there was literally a mob scene on the line waiting for entry into the Manhattan Room. My husband walks with a cane and was almost knocked over twice! The cruise line paid more attention to it's pay restaurants (there were more of them). There were very limited and unimaginative activities. Reservations were also needed for any of the entertainment; some entertainment you had to pay for!! There are too many other choices for cruise lines; don't waste your time or money on this one.

We often sail with an inside cabin. This was by far the smallest cabin we have ever had. There was no room for even a chair! Our steward, however, was considerate and went out of his way to make thing right.

Ship tip

Shanghai Noodle Bar is a hidden treasure (and there is no fee).

OP.  I agree with lots of things you have said.  I'd like to ask people to keep a little distance from people who are using a cane.  I don't know quite how to explain it, but people actually "walk up" the back of the cane.  In other words, the tip of their shoe hits the bottom inch or two of the cane, trapping the cane under their foot.  It jerks the cane user's hand.

There are other places to dine besides the Manhattan room. And if you go when they first open there will be lines. We have never had to make reservations for dinner, most we have waited is 10 mins. Moderno has buffet breakfast and lunch on sea days. Have to read the daily newsletter that you get every nite to find out whats going on. If you want to see a show you can either be there early or make reservations on your room tv or the many kiosks around the ship.

it's not hard making reservations online @ ncl.com or down at guest services.
