Review summary

there were 4800 people on this ship. way too many. the ship is way too big the cabins are tiny and I could hardly get my walker through the cabin door. A crew member was killed when a life boat fell on him during a  drill. that sort of put a damper on any festivities there after. The pool was tiny and 4000 people wanted to swim at the same time.

It was soooooooooooo tiny. I expected much larger accomaditions. the balcony held 2 chairs and a tiny table. Not enough room to swing a cat let alone eat breakfast. Oh yes room service cost $7.95 per order and anything to drink was $2.50 extra.

Ship tip

The crew is wonderful.

Thanks for sharing your cruise.

We had a handicap accessible room and it was very spacious. You should go with that type of room next time. We loved all of the space.

I've been on many cruise ships and the Norwegian Breakaway was the first ship that I could not get my walker through the entrance to the room.  Also, I could not get through the passageways while the room attendants were cleaning.  They left their bags and carts in the passageways.  I've never encountered this problem before either.

Returning from Hamilton we unfortunately did see the crew member coming off the ship on a stretcher being bagged. Extremely upsetting to my young teenage d as daughter.

I don't know of any ship that has a pool that is large enough for the number of passangers on board. While the death of a crewmember is sad, accidents happen and unless you directly witnessed the event it really should not have impacted your trip that much. If you had issues with your walker, you should get an accessible room next time.

What a terrible tragedy , so sad. Unfortunately terrible accidents do happen. I'm sorry your cruise was so negatively impacted.
