Review summary

This was my husband and my first Norwegian cruise and I must say it ROCKED!!!!  We left the kids back on land and had a fabulous time.  We definitely got our monies worth and I do strongly suggest that you purchase the beverage package.  All of the staff were fantastic and got to know you through out the trip.  Our favorite show was the Rock of Ages, however I did see a sign for it being an Adult only show but did see many young children in the audience.  The food was phenomenal as were the drinks.  I can't say enough about this cruise, there was no hassle, very low key and FUN!!!!  We will definitely be cruising again on Norwegian.

Paul... That's exactly what I was told by my booking agent when we booked. I asked 3 times for clarity and he told me the same thing. But then I looked on NCL's site and it said something different. That's why I figured I'd ask :)

Awesome news.. Thanks for for the info..

paulgunnz..... I think you received bad intel... the only limit NCL has is if you have had too many and you are a danger to yourself or others.

misssuzier    8 years ago

There is no limit on NCL ... We drank mixed drinks... And occasional shots ... Of course if they feel the need to cut you off ... They have the right to ... But I haven't seen it ... It does include the drink of the day but not in the souvenir glass ... If you like the tropical drinks ... Try mango meltdown and Miami Vice ...

That was a per person.. 15 at $15 in 24 hr period..

Source was booking agent.. I thoroughly vetted them before booking.. For all of our sakes i hope they were wrong.. But the other couple traveling with us booked elsewhere and was told the same thing.

Paulgunnz... that's a pretty specific number. Do you have the source for that because it is not in the T&Cs for the UBP?

paulgunnz    8 years ago

My understanding prinycesa07 is that the ubp only includes 15 drinks at no more than $15 dollars per 24 hours

My tip regarding the drinks is to tip an extra $1 or $2 and go to same bartenders, they remember you and helps you get a drink faster, I did that on 3 cruises and it helps

My husband and I are going on our 3rd cruise on ncl....in October...no kids! Can't wait. This is the first time we are getting the beverage package.

gllwave.... I see you did the Breakaway. Was that solo and in the studio? Would you recommend the studio? Friend is going solo and rolling the dice that he gets a mini suite for cheap closer to sail date.

Love NCL! I did one on RCL and cruise solo, the best!🚢 Leave husband at home, hates cruising!

The best bet is to read the T&Cs for all the details so you don't have any surprises.... https://www.ncl.com/terms/ultimate-beverage-package That being said, if you order a "virgin" daiquiris or "virgin" mudslide, then they can ring it up as a bar item and that works. Sometimes promotional drinks or drinks of the day would be excluded from the UBP. I tried to order a "virgin" screwdriver to get around the "freshly squeezed juice" exclusion but I guess I wasn't the first one with that idea. lol

Thank you beyond! That must be where I got the limit idea from (carnival). I barely drink but have been asked this question by some who are traveling with us in October. They will be happy to hear :) One more question, I can use it for non alcoholic drinks (like daiquiris or something else fruity like that) right??

As one of the bar tenders put it to me, the limit is when they have to escort you back to your room. Celebrity & carmival do limit their beverage packages, but at this time I've been told NCL does not.

This will be our second time on this cruise in September. We went last year also. We are leaving the kids on land also (well, not really kids lol. An 18 yr old and 21 yr old). And yes you are right about that show We saw young kids there too Well, glad you had a nice first time experience. Can't wait until September 11th ☀️🌴⚓️🍸🍷🍷💕👍

Hi Brandi. We are booked for this cruise in October and purchased the beverage package. Is their a daily limit of how many drinks you can get? Thanks!
