Review summary

The ship is beautiful and has lots to offer.  However several things were disappointing.  The rooms were the smallest i have ever stayed in.  I didn't like that we were told to have a better dining experience we needed to go to the paid dining rooms.  I didn't like the fact that there were areas on board that we were not allowed in because the people there had paid more money to stay in.  It reminded me of the Titanic.  The shore excursions certainly need to be better organized.  It took 2 hours to go on a 5 min. crossing to get to their private island.

Very clean and comfortable, but very small.

Ship tip

The main dining rooms were better than the Manhattan that was advertised as being better.

By limiting access, those of us who wished to have a quiet experience were able to do so. we've been aboard 3 celebrity ships and found crowds with thier noise everywhere. smoke was every bit as much an issue. The vibe charges a very small fee for this upgrade and was a lovely change. There is nothing like the Haven on the other two lines. Ncl is far from perfect to be sure but then again no line is. we found that service in general declined when tipping individually was replaced no matter what line we traveled.

Go on Princess or Celebrity and you don't have to pay more.

If you're talking about the Haven then yes, you pay a lot more money to stay there. You also get a.butler and a lit of extra service. They are also paying for a private area so I understand why you couldn't go in there. There is a HUGE ship, it's not going to kill you not to go into one area.
