Review summary

Overall cruise was just ok, not great. PROS: Ship was super clean, staff were fantastic, room was great, teen program was wonderful, and Bermuda was gorgeous. CONS: Food was mediocre at best, often overcooked with way too much salt. Main pool and hot tubs were inaccessible due to overcrowding and the same people hogging it all day long with no one making sure everyone could have a turn. If you didn't claim your spot as soon as it opened, you didn't get in. Onboard entertainment was terrible, with the only exception being the Rock of Ages show, and even in that the sound mixer had the bass so loud you could barely hear the solo singers. The pool band Jammroc was awful, and often let passengers go up and sing. If I wanted to hear passengers sing I would go to karaoke. The only other onboard act was a duo named Arvin & Emily who sounded great, but they sang only slow songs and would repeat the same songs every show. Many activities had an extra charge, and many of the "seminars" were just infomercials to get you to buy products from the spa or gift shops.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

1 out of 5
Food was overcooked and way too salty. Not a lot of variety.

Onboard Activities

1 out of 5
Not a lot to do unless you pay extra fees.

Entertainment

1 out of 5
Poor quality performers, boring music acts. Only Rock of Ages worth seeing.

Children's Programs

5 out of 5
Kept my 13 year old son busy the whole time. He had the best cruise of us all.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
Staff were excellent, seemed happy to interact with passengers.

Ship Quality

5 out of 5
Ship was very clean and well decorated.

Cabin / Stateroom

5 out of 5
Plenty of room, bathroom was great.

Ship tip

If you want to be able to use the pool or hot tubs, better get there at the time they open or you're not getting in.

Ports of call

New York, New York

Traffic getting to the port was bad, but once in the terminal it was great.
