Review summary
This so easily could have been an excellent cruise. The ship itself is great, the stateroom very nice...all clean, very well kept. And our stateroom attendant, Bopesh, was the nicest guy you could ever want to take care of your room. The food was good also.
Mixed reviews on the entertainment. The Creole band and Impac were excellent. Dueling pianos kinda fun also. But overall, the entertainment was way below the level of Royal Caribbean. For example, the cruise director of RC was of such comedic quality that I could see him subbing for Fallon or Kimmel. By contrast, the Norwegian Breakaway cruise director was more like a game show host. I thought he was going to yell, "Come on down!" at any moment. Hint: Entertainment is about humor, class, and timing, not sound volume. Oh, and the nightly event at Spice H2O was poor. Again, way too much emphasis on the emcee yelling and not enough emphasis on music and dancing. The "White GLOW party" was dreadful. Would have been nice to have a classy swing band to dance to at some venues.
And please, please, please stop the constant drumbeat of announcements for things like art auctions and bingo. You put flyers in our rooms every day announcing these kinds of things. Your passengers don't need high-volume, irritating and seemingly unending blasts from the PA system.

Ship tip
Gotta try the Uptown Grill on the 16th floor for a fabulous burger. But don't go between 1:00-2:30...waited an hour for it!
