All Aboard for Norwegian cruises - maybe not on the Breakaway.

Sail Date: September 14, 2014

Traveled As: Singles/Friends

Room Type: Balcony

I was mostly disappointed with the room/balcony size - balcony just short of being too small to allow two people to sit comfortably.  Cafeteria food was also not up to my expectations, fortunately their was a restaurant called O'Sheehans that was open 24 hrs/day that was much better.  Finally, any music, film or otherwise presentations in the atrium area was so loud it was practically unbearable.

Ship Quality
Thephysical nature of the vessel was great.
Food and Dining
Preferred eating at O'Sheehan's rather than the cafeteria, grill or main dining
Service and Staff
Extremely courteous, willing to help
Entertainment
About as good as most ships lately
Children's Programs My 'kids' are mostly retired
Onboard Activities
Minature golf was pretty good - was not inclined to try anything else
Destinations and Excursions
Only one port, mostly water sports, (Ican't swim)
Cabin / Stateroom
Be prepared for a smaller than expected balcony
New York, New York
Enjoyed the New YOrk "after cruise" ride around the city - tje giude was great (Phil)

Tip

Be sure to try O'Sheehan's - breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacks time - always good for me.
