Our cruise was fantastic, sure it wasn’t perfect but no vacation is. All 7 of us enjoyed ourselves. All of our ports were awesome and even though our time in seaworld was short it was still great and we did a lot. The staff truly made our cruise wonderful and the entertainment was out of this world.
Embarkation

This was very unorganized. Getting into the building and parking was easy. But when you got in there where massive lines for security. The. We got put into the haven room. It was so overcrowded there wasn’t room on the floor to put down my stuff and there were no open chairs. We were then introduced to a concierge, but he walked away, never came back and then ended up not even being our concierge.
Ship experiences
Food and Dining
4 out of 5
The food on the ship was good. The first night we ate at Q. The food here was good. I enjoyed the brisket and fried okra appetizer. But there were two problems, one was that the service was so slow, it took over 2 and a half hours to eat our meal. Also while we were waiting we could barely hear each other over the extremely loud band. The next night we went to los lobos. This ended up being my favorite specialty restaurant. With the Dining package you can get unlimited apps, 1 main course and 1 dessert. For appetizers we all tried the shrimp quesadilla the chicken quesadilla, the empanadas, the cactus salad, the queso fundido, the tableside guacamole. They were all great. Fort he main Course I ate the carne asada, it was kind of tough, other people in my family liked the shrimp though. For dessert I had the tres leches cake, it was to die for. The third night we went the the main dining room taste. The French onion soup, Cesar salad and bruschetta were all favorites. For mains we liked the New York strip and the rigatoni primavera. The next night we went to la Cucina. We all loved the entrees gnocchis and Osso bucco, and appetizers antipasto and the burrata caprese. For dessert the cannolis or the tiramisu are the way to go. Next we went to Cagneys for dinner. We loved the ahi tuna tartare and the grilled cheese and tomato soup and the wedge salad here, we all got a different steak here. I got the New York strip which was cooked to perfection. Other people in my family also got the ribeye, porterhouse, lamb chops and filet mignon. Everybody’s was cooked perfectly. For sides, you MUST and yes in all caps must have the Parmesan truffle fries. These are better fries than I have ever had. They are crispy and flavorful. With that I also had the sautéed spinach which was very tasty and not bland like at some restaurants. For dessert I shared the OMG cheesecake because at this point you will probably be so full you can’t eat a whole dessert. It was very heavy and creamy, the perfect thing to go with this meal 😂. The next night we ate at the haven restaurant which I was kind of disappointed with. So for my sisters birthday we ate here and they made it extra special, they brought out cake and sang to here and it was very nice. For the meal I had the tuna tartare and it was good, just like I had at cagneys except it came with a quail egg on top which I thought was kind of weird but ok. for the mains I didn’t really like anything on the menu. So I tried the surf and turf, it came with 2 proteins and I was more likely to like one of them. Well I didn’t like either, my filet was borderline hockey puck and cooked beyond well done. The shrimp were tasty but kind of rubbery. The spinach and baked potato were good though. They had a toppings bar that they came around with if you wanted chives cheese or bacon on your potato. The next night we ate at le bistro.. this was my least favorite of all menu-wise . Here the only thing good was the French onion soup. This might have been the best I have ever had. Other than that I didn’t really like anything on the menu. In the past I had the beef tenderloins and didn’t enjoy them, I have also tasted the lamb chops and vegetarian dish and didn’t like them. But a lot of people do like the lamb chops here so don’t go by me with that. So I decided to order off the kids menu and that was it, the pizza was good and I am sure your kids will enjoy that. But this time a few people in my family did li,I the escargot and the lamb chops. It is the perfect place if you want a fancy and romantic dinner. Now for breakfast, most mornings we ate in the main dining room since 2 out of the 3 rooms were not able to go to the haven. I loved it. There were so much variety. The vanilla pound cake French toast and the huevos rancheros were great. The service here is a hit or miss. The garden cafe had even more variety, there was Any breakfast food you could think of. Beans on toast eggs Benedict, cappuccino muffins literally anything. Chefs were walking around singing about pastries while handing out custard filled donuts. The only complaint is that the people here are sometimes gross. I saw a kid put his head under the ice cream machine and eat it like a water fountain. I also saw someone ignore the spoon and put their hand into rice. The haven restaurant had a little less variety but the food was very fancy. They had steak and eggs, waffles with fresh berries and the Same huevos rancheros everyday instead of one day in the dining room. The service was good everyday Instead of being either amazing or bad like I the dining room. For lunches, we honestly didn’t eat lunch often but we did I. The haven restaurant one day. The Cesar salad is as good as always as was the Brie burger. The goat cheese gallate was great. Cocos for dessert is a must try while on the bliss. I recommend the Nutella and milk chocolate sundae. Also the Starbucks was great.i loved the iced white chocolate mocha and my sister loved the strawberry frappacino. The sugarcane mojo to bar had the overall favorite drinks. People in my family liked the coconut pineapple and regular and cucumber jalapeño mojitos as well as the mai tai and Tito’s.
Onboard Activities
1 out of 5
Although there was a lot on the ship there really wasn’t much to do in the freestyle daily. There was maybe one or two trivia’s and a few demonstrations. Also every and I mean every activity took place in the small compact crowded atrium. You had to fight for seats just like at the buffet for breakfast. The activities on the ship were good. The go karts were very fun but a little hard to use. I would recommend booking this before you board, we got in priority and there were only six spots left for go karts. I loved the aqua racer water slide. It was cool how it lit up with every turn. The drop slides were closed almost all the time. The pools were tiny. There was one for adults and one for families on the pool deck. There wasn’t nearly enough chairs. As for the haven pool it was so tiny it could maybe fit 5 people. They aphid a sufficient number of chairs. The haven sun deck was great they had two whirlpools that are the perfect place to watch sail away. At night the parties were ok they threw a great party, it is just not a lot of people were there which was surprising considering it was a school break. The glow party was the most “crowded”. They painted your face and handed out glow sticks. Be sure to pack a white shirt for this. The perfect place for before dinner pictures is the waterfront they have chairs band it is the perfect place to watch sunset
Entertainment

The shows on this ship were the best ever. Instead of having a different show every night they have the same 2 shows repeated. you must have reservations before you get here for this. Jersey boys was broadway worthy. The story and singers were amazing. Six had such An interesting story. It was about the 6 wives of an English king. If you don’t get there early and watch the slideshow about the queens it will be confusing for you. The dj siglo was great and had the perfect music for the parties.
Service and Staff
5 out of 5
The staff on this ship was great. The cruise director staff was great. JC, Liz, Carla, Johnny and Thomas made our trip fun and ran every event. Our waiters in the main dining rooms were great Saliman had our food ready in 5 minutes. Another great waiter there was Saurabh in savor. When our food took too long he wa really nice about it and he is a very good guy. Sugarcane mojo to bar had great people. Especially Lucia and Antonio. In the haven restaurant sofi was great. We saw him two times and he was great and friendly everytime. Our butler Romelia was great. She was so nice and talkative. Clark was also great he was also friendly and a great room steward
Ship Quality

The layout isn’t great. The elevators are jammed packed at all hours. It is impossible to get into one. The atrium is way too small to be hosting the kind of activities it is. It is always packed. The pool deck is way to small. Some chairs don’t even recline because they would have no room. The ship was spotless though. Everything was clean. The observation lounge and waterfront were my favorite spots on the ship.
Cabin / Stateroom
5 out of 5
This cabin was huge. The balcony was luxurious and big. They improved the couch beds. They put a mattress on the bed instead of having a bar I the middle of a pull out. The bathroom in the master bedroom is amazing. You can take a shower while looking over your balcony to the ocean...... yeah I said over your balcony. For your sake when you are taking a shower there please keep people off of that part of the balcony because of they get close enough to the window THEY CAN SEE YOU!!! Another tip for the bathroom is for the bathtub we all brought bathbombs to use. It was so relaxing to take a bath while looking at the ocean going by. Also in the morning I do recommend making a cup of coffee or tea and then going out to the balcony. It is the perfect way to wake up. But the coffee machine is loud so be careful with that. The tv also gets free movies so be sure to take advantage of that at night or during the day. The cabin was very clean, no stains anywhere.
Ship tip
Be sure to use a stair master before going onboard, if you want to get anywhere you will need to walk up a lot of stairs.
The embarkation process in the port was bad. But once you are onboard The sail away from New York is magnificent. You pass the freedom tower, Statue of Liberty and you go under the Verrazano bridge. The sunset is beautiful for pictures with the city in the background.
The port here was very nice, my big issue was the seaworld excursion. The ship docked at 1 and we got to seaworld around 3... it closed at 6..... we got 3 hours in seaworld. We had to pay 35 a person for the transfer and over a 100 a person for a seaworld ticket, so in other words we pretty much got robbed, the ship should have informed that the park closes at 6 in the excursion paperwork.
I love great stirrup cay. The tender ride was a little rough but it was worth it. We got to the island and we were going to go jet skiing but it was sold out
. But I am glad we didn’t go. We had such a good day at the beach. The water had massive boulders but it felt so good. We had beautiful views in the water, you can go paddle boarding or snorkeling here in the sculpture garden. The food here was delicious. They have grill stations with burgers everywhere and a dining hall with delicious jerk chicken. They also have delicious pineapple rum cake. The best photo spot is on the swing, it is to the right on the beach when you get there. The beach is great here, the sand is white and not rocky. Be sure to pack lots of sunscreen and hats and. Sunglasses because the sun is beating down on you, I got extremely sunburned here even with spf 50 sunscreen on before we left. There really is no need to book an excursion here, you can enjoy a perfect day at the beach. I would not buy anything in the straw market, it is all so overpriced.
The port here is nice, there were six cruises here. Once you leave the port area it is really sketchy. We saw it driving to our discover Atlantis tour . For some reason, areas of Atlantis smelled like human waste which was really gross. There are many stores in Atlantis to buy souvenirs and in the marina stores and outside in paradise island. The aquariums are cool. I loved being the glass tube part. It is a 1 hr guided headphone tour. Unfortunately I had to be close to the Peter, our tour guide to hear because as I said, I got bad sunburn in great stirrup cay and the headphones hurt. It was very interesting. The tour says 3 hrs but is only about 1hr and 45mins. You can discover on your own as long as you want. We stayed about and hr after our tour and went back to the ship. The vendors here are a little pushy
This was the opposite of embarkation. We got our bags and were out of the ship. The only issue was the elevators. They were broken and we had to stuff into one to get down.
