Review summary

If you don’t have children pay attention to what is going on in the area before booking your cruise. We discover that the NYC area was on mid winter break from school so the ship had more children on it than any of the other cruises we’ve been on. If cruising with your own children this isn’t bad but if not and your just looking to relax there are few areas that children don’t venture to.

Embarkation

4 out of 5
Embarkation was fairly good but we did experience a delay due to a law enforcement issue that occurred due the previous disembarkation.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The LeBistro was an excellent dinner with great food. Food republic is an amazing restaurant with great staff and ample portions.

Onboard Activities

4 out of 5
The go cart track was an amazing experience to have at sea, just keep in mind that it is a weather dependent activity and reservations fill up quick.

Entertainment

3 out of 5
The musicians were quite skilled, and provided a great deal of entertainment. The comedy shows were okay, the comedian repeated many of the same jokes, we tried going to the adult only (late in the evening)comedy show but found it to be overrun with young children and suddenly changed to a family friendly resulting in the same jokes being repeated.

Children's Programs

Did not bring any children on our cruise

Service and Staff

3 out of 5
Some of the service was excellent, some of it was rather apathetic. I’m not sure if they staff was fatigued with the over 1200 younger children onboard or what.

Ship Quality

4 out of 5
It was a clean ship the crew was always cleaning something.

Cabin / Stateroom

4 out of 5
It was a standard size cruise ship cabin with balcony. The stateroom steward kept the room clean. The ride was good even when we encountered some rough seas on the transit back to NY.

Ports of call

Port Canaveral, Florida Did not visit port

Stayed on board ship to take advantage of spa deals

Great Stirrup Cay (Cruise Line Private Island), Bahamas

4 out of 5
The tendering process was organized, but you need to reserve your tendering time as soon as you can otherwise your competing for a spot on the island.

Nassau, Bahamas

4 out of 5
Nice port stay in the approved tourist areas or book an excursion to Atlantas resort.

Disembarkation

4 out of 5
Quick and efficient disembarkation, we chose self assist so we were off the ship and on our way out of the city by 830 am.
