Q: Is the bliss really worth the extra grand or two that it will cost over the panorama?

A: No , I personally enjoyed the Panorama better than the Bliss, both had excellent shows. I think the food was better on Bliss and more activities on Panorama. Both are beautiful ships. The sail away Party on Panorama was 10 + and Bliss a 7

Q: I saw a YouTube video on the chat feature in the NCL app. They said it’s about $10 for the entire trip to use. I just wanted to know if anyone has used this feature? If so was it worth it? If it’s not worth it or you haven’t used it how did you communicate with friends and family while on board at sea? Thanks in advance!

A: Communicate like the old days, call them in their rooms. If they're not there, leave a message. The world will go on if you don't have your cell phone permanently attached to your hand.
Answered by ASYoung on February 20, 2023
A: I've had better luck just planning some sort of group meetup/check-in time.the app messaging is charged per person, it wasn't worth it the two times I paid for it because it kept crashing for days. Go to the Dollar tree and get a little magnetic whit... eboard, put it on your door with a little marker attached, and they can leave you notes that way too.or just play tic tac toe throughout the sailing lolSee More

A: Each person in the group needs to purchase it. Its just like a texting app and you can also call the room with it. It was great for our group

Q: Are most drinks still included in the drink package? With all the recent NCL price changes and just generally nickel-and-diming us, have they raised the bar prices??(i.e. is Grey Goose still within the "free" price range?)I'm not a whiskey drinker or Veuve champagne, and those are the main reasons people shell out another $175 for Premium drink package right?

A: Very few of the alcoholic beverages are priced outside the $15 drink limit. So no need to worry.

Q: Can anyone offer info on the weather in Alaska in September? I am from the South Florida region where even in January and February the temperatures rarely get below 60 and never for more than a few days. Need to know how to pack . Thanks in advance!

A: We were in Alaska the week of September 24. Every port we went to was chilly. Two of them were pouring down rain. Definitely bring raincoat and a dry pair of shoes to change into when you get back to the ship. There were a couple days by the pool tha... t it was warm enough to have shorts on. We put our suits on, but too cool to get into the water. I highly recommend getting a thermal spa pass. We used it every single day. One day it was raining so hard in Port that we came back to the ship and just spent the day in the spa. Check it out. It’s got fabulous heated, tiled lounge chairs that face the ocean. A snow room, a sauna, a eucalyptus room, a salt room, Definitely plan on dressing in layers when you go into port. Have fun!See More

Q: What is the walk-off time from the Bliss in LA (carrying your own bags)? I need to give my private transfer driver a pick up time and I’m not sure what the disembarkation timing will be.

A: your reservation should give you estimated docking time. it is commonly 7am but may show different on your particular reservation. Disembarking usually begins within an hour of docking but can vary because immigration and customs have to clear the sh... ip for disembarking. We are usually off the ship by 8 sometimes later sometimes sooner. there is no way to tell you a precise time.See More

Q: Has anyone done an Alaska cruise in mid-October yet? I’m booked in 2023 and I’m thinking most everything in the ports will already be closed down. Skagway railroad. Whale Watching. Nature hikes.

Answer QuestionA: There'll be one in the room. You can't bring your own; they will confiscate it until the end of the sailing. It has something to do with the power supply onboard/wattage limits.
Answered by jeffykins on February 20, 2023
A: Yes. It’s a small one. If you have long thick hair it may take awhile. It was fine for us.

A: I was sad to hear we're losing skagway since it's my favorite Alaskan port. Haven't been to sitka or icy straight point. but we'll have fun anyway. You'll love glacier bay. Get a warm coat it rained on us last time.
Answered by suemor on August 9, 2022
A: They are changing it for the rest of the season. They are being changed to Sitka or Icy Strait Point.
