overall a very good cruise and a great value! Staff was very nice and accomodating. Captain was not very visible but I guess this ain't the Love Boat. Still...no presence at gala night that I know of. I felt rushed out of my room on debarkation day by steady intrusions at my room by staff. I get it that staff needs to turn the room but that's not really my problem. Don't rush the staff so much or hire more staff!Embarkation
computer glitch at dock prevented all passengers from boarding for over an hour

main dining room food serving time from order time was excruciatingly slow. after awhile you run out of small talk with strangers. many of the food items could have come straight off the line so I can't understand the delay. It's almost as if the inconvenience was designed to direct you the their buffet. Lido buffet food is very good, by the way, but ambiance and service is big part of cruise experience. Especially while at sea.

Ports of call
Excellent helicopter/dog sleeding excursion! didn't like all of the time HAL dedicated to jewelry sales or amount of jewelry stores waiting at the dock.
Seaplane trip was quite short but dungeneous crab feed was plentiful. still, a bit expensive for what we got. same sales complaints as Juneau.
