Wonderful staff food and cabins. This Ship is a dated design even though it is newly built in 2021. Lack of windows and a bit claustrophobic in public areas. There are few activities but if you are there for the destination then that is ok. I’m happy with a book on a sea day so it was not an issue. That being said I wouldn’t do this in the Caribbean.

Boarding in Reykjavik was quick efficient and very well organized. We arrived at the assigned time but most people were onboard as part of a 14 day round trip cruise. Ours was the second leg 7 days.

I have cruised over 20 times on a variety of cruises lines and this was the best food ever - even better than celebrity dare I say. The buffet had the most variety ever and the burger stand /counter was gourmet. Dining room food was equally good. The only poor food was the Dutch cafe where the menu never changed and I couldn’t believe it was the same kitchen as the rest of the ship.
Onboard Activities

This was a boring cruise geared to very old people. I’m in my 50’s and traveled with my adult daughter. We were ok with this lack of activity but others might not be. We went on this cruise for the destination- Iceland and Scotland. I would not take this cruise line in the Caribbean due to the lack of programming.

The live music at the bb king club and Rolling Stones club were top notch and the best I’ve seen - having cruised over 20 times on many other lines. The production shows were average and geared to older tastes.

The staff EVERYWHERE was outstanding. They all wanted to make sure you were happy and enjoying yourself.

Cleaning was outstanding. Design of the ship felt claustrophobic. Given the new style of ship design this ship although built in 2021 felt outdated. Low ceilings. Dining room and common areas dated decor. Center atrium felt closed in. Only the crows nest and lido deck felt airy. There are no windows on the other public decks.

Balcony cabin on deck 8. Wonderful beds. Down pillows and the best shower on a ship. Incredible shower pressure. Clean. And spacious

Excellent food and cabins and service. If you are looking for activities and exciting things to do look at another cruise line.
The Dutch cafe is a coffee bar that offers Dutch snacks and light fare. It’s not supposed to be an alternate dining venue. It is one of the favourites of committed HA cruisers. Nothing you have said here is a revelation to those who travel with HA and a small amount of research would have revealed that. You are correct they offer a more classic cruise experience and not a resort activity offering.
