Review summary

This cruise changed four times since Covid stopped us from going in April of 2020. It went from an 11 night $1056 cruise to a 6 night $1420, so a little disappointed in all the increases. For some reason it kept going up and up. To no fault of the cruise line we had a less exciting cruise due to having to use a scooter that could not be put on any of the tour buses, so all we could do was scoot around the ports. The ship is beautiful and clean. The staff is the best I have ever seen on a ship. This was definitely a cruise for seniors. Disappointed that they only had one night of comedy. The comedian was on the ship all six nights but only performed two shows in one day. I am sure he had more acts/jokes/stories that he could have done two more nights. Just did not feel like there was much to do. We were a little bored.

Very helpful with my aunt who needed wheelchair service.

Ship experiences

Food and Dining

4 out of 5
The service is above board! Everyone goes out of their way to be of service. The best staff I have seen on a cruise! The food in the dining room is better than most others. The Lido had some very good Indian food but only for one night that I was aware of. The spaghetti was also very good. Loved the fish and chips. The ice cream line was the most popular and was always a very long line.

Onboard Activities

3 out of 5
Not much to do if you are not a board game person. No art shows which I really enjoy.

Entertainment

4 out of 5
The Lincoln stage was very popular. The young people were excellent at playing their instruments. I am just not a fan of sitting for an hour to listen. Excellent bands at the BB King stage and I think Rolling Stone stage. But no Karaoke on this ship.

Children's Programs

This was an over 65 year old cruise. I saw one family with two kids.

Service and Staff

5 out of 5
This ship had the best service from staff than any other ship I have been on.

Ship Quality

Beautiful ship

Cabin / Stateroom

Stewards were excellent. Room always clean and tidy. Nice big room and my aunt loved the accessible bathroom.

Ship tip

This is a senior cruise of mainly 60-80 years old's. Deck 12 is where the action is playing games, and working puzzles.

Ports of call

Boston, Massachusetts

Weekend- the tunnel is closed. Stayed at airport hotel for supper because of traffic delays and it being a Saturday night to eat in the downtown area. Only bummer was there was no entertainment at the hotel.

Bar Harbor, Maine

Enjoyed walking around this port. Food at West Street Cafe was good and they give you large portions.

Halifax, Nova Scotia

Long board walk to stroll.

Sydney, Nova Scotia

Not much to see if you don't have a tour.

Quebec City, Quebec

5 out of 5
Not a handicapped friendly city. Old Quebec City has not made their sidewalks accessible to move from one sidewalk to the other.

Disembarkation

5 out of 5
Excellent service.
